•
Posted by: z ZUMA z This hasn't been edited since June of 08.
I've been replying to people's inquiries and trying to help them up until this day. The reason I can't edit the original post is because I no longer have access to that Bungie.net profile.
Posted by: Swords761 Ok, so I need help. I want to get my old service records to transfer over to my new bungie.net account/gamertag/Windows ID. It was first set up under gamertag "Shredderman", an old e-mail address for the WID, and the WID was also used to log into bungie.net. I switched the WID to the new e-mail address I use now and it successfully transfered Shredderman's service record over. However, I also changed the gamertag of my character to "Swords761". The service record still belongs to gamertag "Shredderman" when you search it on here, and no data appears under "Swords761". Does anyone know how to get that data to transfer over, or if it's not possible to do so? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It looks like your issue has been resolved.
Posted by: Deliriious If i cant remember my first email linked to the gamer tag through the dashboard am i out of luck?
No. Sign into Xbox LIVE with your gamertag. Isn't there any way around this?
As of right now, there is no way around it. You must wait until the date of birth on the account is at least 18 years of age. Then, you can select "Promote Child Account" from the Account Management section. For more information, please visit this page here. •
Posted by: Shankopottamus Ok, now I'm confused (again. I'm beginning to see a pattern emerge). The website doesn't wanna accept the fact that I log in with my Windows Live ID. It still tells me that I don't have my xbox live account linked! I never changed my email, and I logged in with that email. The link to the xbox website sends me to a page that I'm already signed in to, and their link sends me to my XBL homepage. So close. What is the final step?
Sign into Xbox LIVE with your gamertag. From the My Xbox area of the dashboard, go to your profile. Select Manage Account and then Windows Live ID. You should see the email address of your current WLID on the right side of the screen. That email address has to match the one you use to sign into your Bungie.net profile. Is there a quick and easy way of keeping the WLID linked to the Bungie.net account but just change around the GamerTags? Cheers in advance!

Posted by: Pitbullslayer07 when i got a bnet profile i tryed to link gt but i had to make a new one how to i link it to my real gt i want to get recon when i get odst can anyone help me get it to my real gt Pitbullslayer07? Any one???

In order to change the gamertag linked to your Bungie.net profile, you must unlink the current gamertag and then link the new gamertag. Your current setup probably looks like this. Bnet Profile --> WLID 1 <-- XBL Gamertag (Current) WLID 2 <-- XBL Gamertag (New) 1. You must recover the gamertag (currently linked to your Bungie.net profile) onto a Xbox 360 console. If the Xbox LIVE gamertag has not been migrated over to the 360 yet, please visit this page here for more information. If it has, simply enter the gamertag name and continue. Then, input the Windows Live ID login credentials just as if you were signing into your Bungie.net profile. 2. Now that you have recovered your gamertag, you need a third Windows Live ID. To create a new Windows Live ID, simply visit http://account.live.com and click sign up. You may also kill two birds with one stone by creating a Bungie.net profile, thus creating WLID 3. I would suggest choosing the display name of the gamertag you just recovered if available. If not, then choose something similar. 3. Sign into Xbox LIVE with the gamertag currently linked to your Bungie.net profile. From My Xbox, go to your profile. Select Manage Account, Windows Live ID, and then Change Windows Live ID. Say yes, you do have a WLID to swap. Enter your current information and continue. When it asks for the new email address and password, input the login credentials for WLID 3. At this point, you have unlinked the gamertag from your Bungie.net profile. 4. Now, sign into Xbox LIVE with the gamertag you want to link to your Bungie.net profile. From My Xbox, go to your profile. Select Manage Account, Windows Live ID, and then Change Windows Live ID. Say yes, you do have a WLID to swap. Enter your current information and continue. When it asks for the new email address and password, input the login credentials for WLID 1 (just as if you were signing into your Bungie.net profile). If you followed these instructions correctly, your new setup should look like this. Bnet Profile --> WLID 1 <-- XBL Gamertag (New) WLID 2 [Not Linked] WLID 3 <-- XBL Gamertag (Old)
