Do you think it would be cool if there was an archive of human history in Destiny up to the point of the game?
If there was, do you think it would be cool if you could find little things to add to that archive?
e.g. While searching an old house you come across a vinyl (or a flashdrive because that will be ancient technology by the time of Destiny) that plays Louis Armstrong, or Bach.
Or a newspaper clipping showing the latest polls in an election, or the last nights game.
And you could take that and put it in an archive that could be shared.
Just an idea, but it would be really cool.

Voted YES. we don´t know if something like this is going to be included in Destiny, but it´s not a bad idea. Instead of this, we will surely be able to access a history telling us what happened and showing us things that are considered ancient tech. of the humans. keep going. Dee J is hanging arround this posts looking for some cool ideas.

Edited by Jeshuaaaa: 5/10/2013 5:15:06 PMIt's pretty much inevitable that at least some quests/missions are going to revolve around finding out specific information or ancient technology in different locations. Something that would be really cool is being able to run across abandoned buildings where music from the 70s-90s (license-free, of course) is playing like radio music in Fallout. Just an idea for something like that and think about who's worked with Marty on the score... (Beatles Easter egg, anybody?)

At this point I'm not sure how doable that would be for Bungie. Nevertheless it's an awesome idea. Reminds me of the scribes in the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 3. EXP for books!

I like the idea of an archive but I think it would be better if it was almost completely empty when we start the game leaving the players to fill it.

Any form of collectible or Easter egg would only make players more happy! :P

I want that to be in the game and over time Bungie would add things randomly into the archive. I want it to be housed in a library/museum which has books and on the other side it shows physical representations of now current, older and future technology. I would love to be able to begin reading about the "start" of our space exploration days and at the end of the library I would be able to read all the books currently being published about our returning to the former planets we used to control. e.g. Timeline on a wall over time it would update with more info on what happened in between the present day in Destiny and the dawn of space exploration

I want to be able to learn about what happened before the Fall and during it through things like journal entries and video blogs in ruined cities and destroyed colonies.

Would love to get some background about the past of Destiny and what life was like before the Golden Age, during the Golden Age, and after the Golden Age and what it was like when this event almost wiped out all humans, awoken, exo, etc.

Yes and maybe add on with like PainSpreader1 (just using my name) found out what hit us or something where everyone can see it and know that you got it but you can still find it and still have the fun of finding it

I would want the history just because I would be curious to how the humans reached the Golden Age and how they got knocked back.
