NASA: Global Warming to blame for recent Heat Waves.

Duh. Isn't this like saying fire is the reason my house burned down? Oh well. And they say GLOBAL WARMING not Climate Change. That's important. We can stop beating around the bush and calling it what it is not. Climate Change implies it can go either way. Global Warming says its changing in a distinct way. Given that this is the hottest July since we started keeping records on this sort of thing it gets to be pretty obvious. Now, what can we do about it, if anything at all? Are there ways we can start to prepare for what's coming our way? Maybe try to reverse it with technologies like Carbon Sequestering and Orbital Solar Shields? Maybe start the migration inland as the water level rises? Something? Or are we going to bury our heads in the sand and pretend its a political argument, and say that change, any change, is bad for business.

Look, when every scientist in this field says something is true, I would listen. I don't think I know better than everyone else anymore.
When those same scientists can't even get a prediction within 150% it's hard to think they know what they are talking about. Their original predictions were 300% off. That's like NASA trying to send Curiosity to Mars and it ending up in the Asteroid Belt. They might as well just be guessing with how accurate their climate models have proven to be.
Yup, you are smarter than NASA... I say we elect you as National Science Adviser.
I never said I was smarter than NASA. I said their models aren't accurate. Which is something you'd know if you actually paid any attention. When their models predict it will have warmed by 4-5 degrees and it warms by .3 in that time. They aren't accurate. That doesn't take a genius to figure out. It takes an observant person. But hey, keep the arrogant condescending attitude. It really helps your points. [Edited on 08.08.2012 1:19 PM PDT]
