Yep, I chaperoned my friend and his "date" to a movie called "Corpse Bride."
Many of you may have seen Night Before Christmas. I know I have. I also know that I can't remember anything about it. So I don't know how to compare the two.
Corpse Bride has the most interesting looking characters I have ever seen. From short and enormously fat. To extremely tall with a huge hairdo or a hat that reaches the ceiling. in fact, the only ones that look normal are Victor and the Corpse.
It is very interesting and judging by other films I've seen...very Tim Burtonish.
The music is haunting...yet catchy at the same time.
The show is funny but it's hard to laugh because of the dark and dreary setting.
The contrast between real life and the afterlife is fantastic though. I loved the story and I loved the acting. The music fit wherever it was placed. But even though this is meant to be a "family show", it still felt creepy. And wierd.
I don't know my overall feelings, I liked it...and yet, I was disturbed.

Is it good enough of a movie to spend $6.25 on?
I suggest you see it at least once. It's creepy...in a funny way.
In a sense.
