IWHBYD Pathway revealed?
Ok, i think I know how to get it, or at least start us off in the right direction, but its extremely complicated:
Ok, at the very beginning of "The covenant", run past the enemies and aim your spartan laser at the anti-air wraith tank. Shot it dead so that the Hornet that spawns flys around in a large circle. Proceed to kill the enemies around you.
Next, when all the enemies are dead, equip yourself with two plasma pistols. Here's where it gets hard. You must time your shot correctly so that the hornet falls closest to the canyon wall. I was able to do it once. On the second try now, very difficult.
When your charged shot hits the hornet, the hornet should power down and begin decending. continue firing charged shots at it so that it does not repower.
When it hits the ground (it needs to hit the ground as if it were landing), jump onto its roof. If you do not do this, then the hornet will flip itself and you will die. You cannot enter the cockpit, you must be on the roof.
Now, the hornet should fly upwards if you shot it at the right spot. It will fly above the canyon wall which you shoudl now jump on. Upon jumping on the canyon wall go right. This is as far as I got. I went left which turned out to be the wrong way to go, causing me to do it again!
You cannot shoot the driver out of the cockpit, and the hornet ALWAYS spawns. There is never a time when it does not. I am currently doing it on normal difficulty.

you dont need to finish the level im 100% positive

holy crap, this actually works. 1. you have to start at the beginning of the level. 2. after truth dies, kill all the flood near all the rings. 3. jump through the rings in the right order shown in previous posts. 4. all the rings will flash bright white. 5. go pick up the skull, its on the bridge where you go to get to truth. 6. take no chances and just finish out the level while holding the skull. 7. save and quit when you get to the cortana level (starts as rampant). 8. go customize your spartan!

Question that I can't seem to find because I'm too excited: Do we get past the point where Truth dies, kill all the flood, [i]then[/i] go back and go through the rings? [Edited on 09.28.2007 6:33 PM PDT]

Congradulations everyone! We did it as soon as it was released and got it first try. I personally am never taking this helmet off.......ever. Untill I get the Halo 1 helm at least.

we started at the beginning of the level.we did it on normal and started the code from the original side where you enter the hall that holds the halos.it works. [Edited on 09.28.2007 6:27 PM PDT]

I've read a lot of this thread and I decided to try and do it. I started on "The Covenant" level, defeated the scarabs then ran through to the Prophet, killed him then ran back through towards the elevator taking out the flood then from the elevator, I did the sequence and I got nothing. I did it on normal. Does it matter what difficulty? And does it matter from what I side I start on? Please help. Thanks.

Okay the numbers everyone keeps giving are different. One guy had a 6 before the last 534, others had another 1 after2721 which is it?
