So I was talking with a fellow member about the whole Flood conflict, both with Ancient Humanity and the Forerunners and how the Flood/Precursors returning to the Galaxy may be the ancient evil promoted for the Reclaimer Trilogy. Anyways, the convo eventually lead to the Flood on the Halo's and to the Flood that were already released and fighting the Sentinels within the Sentinel Wall.
I think I heard something about this being explained or hinted towards somewhere, but I can't remember. Does anyone know how exactly the Flood were already fighting the Sentinels on Delta Halo? Where did the mass come from to sustain them on the ring?
Thanks.
Posted by: Darthbill99 There is indigenous life on Halo, it probably lived off the animals preserved there until the humans and covies got there. I think a better question is how they assimilated so many people quick enough to give you those first few flood fights on the sacred icon. I mean you literally opened the gate to the quarantine zone seconds before you get flooded (no pun intended) by dozens of combat forms from both species.
But the Flood were only on the inside of the Sentinel Wall. They escape when you deactivate the barriers to gain access to the Library. The whole inside was a frozen wasteland, I highly doubt there was any indigenous life in there. [Edited on 10.02.2012 8:27 PM PDT]
