Way Beyond the Beta: Screenshots Galore
Months ago, media mens came to the Bungie headquarters to get some new scoops in the wake of the Halo 3 Public Beta. They saw some new maps, now you can see them, as well.

I agree, Im starting to hate people that are starting to -blam!- about how the graphics that you see on the halo 3 beta. All I keep on hearing is the graphics suck, the graphics suck, the graphics suck. first of all it's a freaking beta!!!!!!!!! It's not like the people at bungie are saying this is the graphics you are going to see! Give them a break it took them 3 years to finish the game and we still don't know if it's done yet they might be still putting the finishing touches on the game. And yes halo 3 is a better game than Gears of War, no compitetion!Bottom line: All you unbelievers quit your -blam!-in! HALO4EVER!!!!!!!!!!

Halo 3 is going to be the best game ever and all the new things kick ass. the best freaking game ever! enough said.besides the new armor really kicks ass and it's a great addition to halo 3 multiplayer I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is it just me or does the standard armour look the most appealing out of all these? I think i will stick wth the standard helmet at the very least cause the others that i have seen so far dont apeal to me at all. If they are unlocked based on rank i think MC's armour should be the highest ranking armour. just my two cents.

The CQB Armor looks exactly like the Republic Army Clone Troopers from the Star Wars flicks. Not that it's bad, but could be different. Almost like you were playing Republic Commando.

If Halo 3 multiplayer is a bottle of rum than these 'unlockable' armor purmutations might just be a hint of poision. Maybe, maybe not, but if some of them, ie, the close combat armor, makes you have to get a bazillion shot gun kills to get it, then it could dilute the people who are just trying to play the game. And there should be at least 10 different armors to start with, I don't care if I'm playing a bunch of new guys (did not say the n-word) or generals, I want to be able to see armor variatons, I think it is really a cool idea, but could go fubar many a ways if Bungie guys are not careful. But Bungie is always careful...right?

Not only that, I love how alot of people believe that the graphics of a video make the game. I believe it's gameplay and plot that make a game what it truly is. The new screen shots and renders have gone way out of my scale on *oh my holy -blam!-* range. My favorite render so far is "reload this". You wouldn't mind sending me an earlier complete copy of halo 3??? : ) GIMME! September 25th....too....far! I'm just so appauled by the supreme awesomeness that I've witnessed so far! The different armour will have different abilities 1. The one with the black strip in the front is close quarters abilities with ability to take extra damage in close quarter fights. 2. The bubble sheild helmet will be for snipers and long range players with special vision abilities (night, etc.) 3. The standard amour will be a balance between the two.

The screenshots look awesome, but I'm not sure that I like the new C.Q.B armour. It looks just like a Stormtrooper from Star Wars!

OMG, all those screenies are great. The one armor model with the full face visor looks tike the SPI armor from Ghosts of Onyx, look at the front cover of the book and compare. N-ew... ar-arm-m-our..... *Orgasms* [Edited on 07.04.2007 4:27 PM PDT]

AAARGH. The way the pictures are and the details on the environments...and the different armor of the Spartans...its alll too much. I NEED it.

Nice! WOW! Awesome! I noticed something in the screen shot from High Ground, the bunker is a bit more bright (ie more lighting in it). If this is true it would be a more inviting place for combat. the old dark bunker was a bit too scary to go inside it. I dont know maybe its my imagination.
