It just seems like he's saying the book is taking a long time to write because "Silentium has to fit perfectly" WITH Halo 4.[/quote]yeah, that's how I took it. He didn't necessarily need to change anything, he just had to ensure that his book fit in with Halo 4. [/quote] If he didn't know they were well-fit already, which he obviously didn't if he had to extend the release by two months, that means there were differences that needed to be tied up. Or, revisions. Nothing major, I'm sure, but minor details.
