The only real wepon problems there were in H2... The main one handed wepons got nerfed to be dual weilded and were re-placed by larger wepons H1=AR, H2=SMGWhat I want to know is how will dual wielding be affected? If the AR / BR combo is so good then what is the need for dual wielding? Is there a secondary fire? Bursts or automatic fire. The article didint really answer this. On slayer do you start with this or the SMG. wait is the SMG returning? So on pro what do you start with?I loved the old AR. i just hope the new one is as goodI dont know why people -blam!-ed and complained about the AR in CE. It was a good weapon. Maybe took a bit of amo to kill but did a great job as a starting weapon in slayer pro.The BR replaced the MA5B in H2, and now in H3 ther will be MA5C and BROkay the BR from Halo 2 is coming back along with the new AR. The old one from CE is not coming back. The SMG in Halo 2 was a stonger weapon then the AR in CE so when you respwned you had a chnace to fight.I am embarassed to admit this but nonetheless I am confused. In Halo 2 was the SMG considered an AR? Also, you have a description of the AR and BR combo. Does this mean there will be an MA5B AND MA5C in Halo 3? I'm officially not worried about the game.. All the pistol lovers will just have to settle with this (if the pistol DOESN'T make it in the final game). I mean, they like it because it was a powerful weapon that still benefitted from skill, and EVERYONE got it. This new AR, now with a more reasonable magazine size, seems to fit this niche awesomely, at least how it is described in gameplay situations... Oh, speaking of which, the article had many repeated errors: It's not "CLIP," its "MAGAZINE." Your MAGAZINE is running out of ammo. 32 rounds in a MAGAZINE. Common misconception, but, you actually said it correctly, then changed it...Things that wernt in the article that make me question a few things. Is it atomatic fire or bursts like the BR? is there a scope?Words in an article. HERESY!!!!!!!!!Only 32 rounds?!?!Why do people keep commenting on the improvement of "less recoil"? The AR from Halo:CE had NO recoil. Which is why I've always been puzzled by the people who say that H2 takes no skill and that the SMG is "spray and pray". While you may have not liked the weapon, there is a great amount of recoil involved and you do have to AIM properly and keep your target in your sights.ya tahts true, cant wait to own wit this gunsweet, i could never stand the smg's in H2, too weak, too stand-in-front-of-croud-pumping-lead-into-everything-you-see. not saying thats bad, but its nice to have a single wielded auto-weapon. reloads on dual smg's always got me killed. and then to switch weapons you had to throw one away. next thing you know it falls over a ledge and your screwed (has happened to me way too many times) I also wonder if they'll de-nerf the shotty as well? that thing worked wonders for the flood in CE, but in H2 it wasn't nearly as great, and also the magnum. ah either way im looking forward to the AR again!This new AR sounds great but anybody with a good 4 shot BR knows that that weapon requires skill to fire. I am sceptical about this new idea becasue i dont see were skill level will vary... a full auto long and short range AR? seems cheep.. like imagen matchmaking when everyone is blowing the -blam!- out of each other with that..kinda dumbI wonder if Halo 2 players will take the 'pulsing' to heart when using the SMG/Plasma Rifle. I don't know why the AR would have a range, it's a video game.[/quote] It's not a video game, its Halo 3.Did anyone else catch the mention of a compass being built into the AR's electronics suite? I would rather that the compass heading be built into the Chief's armor instead of in the AR.... that way I won't need to carry around a AR to find my way. ----------------- every other virtual=61 ID=?
