Bungie Weekly Update
A light update this week, but with heavy news about stuff that's happening next week, which, coincidentally is the birthday of the original Halo for Xbox. Coincidence? Nothing is a coincidence.

Frankie the fact that you said this: "If you ARE a dude, we don’t care what you think, because we’re not asking you. Anyone who says anything stupid or sexist in the discussion forum will be megabanned." it rather dissapointing.. who is to say a guy can't play as a female spartan. we play games to escape reality (well some of us) i play becuase they are fun.. but i customeize a character in any game to be what it want it to be..i'm not an elite in real life but who says i can't play as one in the game i probabaly would make a character that had a female voice and i would'n't be insulting to anyone saying i can't play as a female voiced character or even by saying you don't care what i think becuase i'm a guy is just wrong.. tell all the WoW players out there that they can't be a female character if they are a guy... it is downright wrong and crazy - so i HOPE you do care what guys have to think about it..don't just single out the women here.. i hope you care becuase if you don't it is really dissapointing to see bungie fail at not listen to feedback of all kind.. love, tomcatjones

Great update. Also come on now its about time you show us some goods... Halo 3 goods. Pics, videos, weapons, etc... Just got Gears of War and Call of Duty 3. Love those games. Got my HDDVD Drive too love it also. Man Also got my Supreme Commander Beta Love that. Man so many great games coming... cant stop freaking out lol... Thanks Bungie cant wait for Halo 3! Keep up the great work.

i think it is good for the changes that are going to be incorperated into the next halo for women if they choose to. Cause now there are more and more female player that are good at the game and hey i think they need to be noticed (my personal opinion). So bungie keep up the good work.

I am enjoying the novel so far. I've just never seen so many typos in a professional, BEST SELLING novel before. The prime example is a statement like "Self perversion protocal" Im certain was meant to say "Self PRESERVATION protocal". It doesnt detract from the story, because I know what the word/spelling is supposed to be. However, it is sloppy, unprofessional, and detracts from the serious image for the Halo games these novels are supposed to support. Seriously, fire your editors. Also, I loved "A Signal Shattered". Also I wanna hear a female Sanghelli voice too.

I for one would love a female character, its always odd to hear myself die a manly death, and hear the other girls I play with calling out locations and then die a manly death. I think it will be good for those like me, but I can also see a really deep voiced guy playing the female character and die with a female death cry....disconcerting.

Ghosts of Onyx is AWESOME!!!!!! i've only read the Epilogue, lol, but i can already tell this book is going to kick ass!!!!! and my girlfriend is coming over to my house today, oh yeah. and she wants to play HALO? what?

Being an obsessive Halo fan and female... I think a female voice would be really great.. until guys start using it and discriminating... Unless there's a way us females on XBL don't have to hear it... Then it's a great idea.

1st time i cried in months, & i'm not joking... i cant immagine the flood (of water) that will be at my house after next week! I sill can't belive how you guys got the trick and way to make us produce enough of saliva to need 5-6 cup of water after that. Now our pacience will be reawarded. Good update []^_^[] Oh and my two sisters who both played(& completted) halo1&2 think that having a female voice for the spartan would be very very... not wise; that it would screw up the seriousness of the already existent super hero... whatever you want to call it. But they are not as fan as me and havent read the novels also, and dont really understand the story cuz they play the game just for fun, not to enter the story, wich i think they are missing. Maybe girly voice is good, maybe it's bad. I don't play enough Live to say so. I think you should go for it. After all, it's always something that can be switched off if the player doesn't like it.

I think the idea of the female voice will be exploited badly and just leave for more sexist remarks, and more trash talking in general. As for next week, I have a feeling they are going to let everything go! Release date?, names of weapons, screen shots, demo? And yeah, dont take hardcore out. Heh.

Its wierd that yesterday your rumble didnt work, because I've never played without rumble, and my controller was running out of battery and I didnt have rumble yesterday. I also will never, ever understand why people would turn rumble off. Nice Update though. SAS03

Yo Does anyone else have a good feeling about next week!!! I dont wanna get my, or anyone elses hopes up but i got a feeling we may get a release DATE! Hear why i think that just some evidence to suggest. 1) Next week is Halo Combat Evolved Birthday 2) Bungie Allowed a look into multyplayer and 1up was allowed to play see and write a 13 page cover story on Halo 3. 3) If you look at 1up's "3 weeks of Halo 3" on 11.15 Wendesday (Next wednesday, next week, which is What bungie(frankie) Called "big week") 1up has a description of what happens on that day and under it says "Special Halo Announcment". 4) And so many other pieces like ps3 is coming out b4 x-mas so microsoft wants to counter soon with a Big Xbox 360 release like they said they wanted to, and that could be Halo 3 in early 2007.
