Alex Mercer. All that time spent discovering the truth, being a boss, and defeating the virus... but yet here comes the second game that doesn't really at all explain his motivations and why it is that he went back on everything he worked to do.
Just... Wow.

RIP random, faceless Call of Duty soldier... Your useless sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Dying in Fallout New Vegas without saving pissed me off.

Because sequels. Also black guys.
-
That guy you know who wears that thing and dies fighting that other guy and everyone got mad because he didn't live to do that thing
-
Posted by: lI Maverick lI RIP random, faceless Call of Duty soldier... Your useless sacrifice will never be forgotten.
I lol'd. OT: I would have to say Hammond from the original Dead Space. He was such a badass, a real tough-as-nails, handle your business type of guy.. He went out kicking and screaming (literally) but it still pissed me off.

Miranda in Halo 3... God, she could've been such a great character to keep around. Plus I didn't like the way she died, just a Spiker to the back was so harsh and sudden.
-
Revan in SWTOR - the most powerful sith lord in the Old Republic killed by a bunch of force noobs.

Every non enemy death in ME3, every last one made me shed a manly tear

The fact that I die in the end of Fall Out 3, and Ghost and Roach getting killed in MW2.

kenny in the walking dead :( why did he save that -blam!-.

The Kingdom of Hyrule in Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Being a huge fan of Ocarina of Time, I desperately wanted to explore the ancient kingdom of Hyrule - locked away by the Gods. Being teased by a visit to Hyrule Castle and a tiny path to a cavernous dungeon, I left hungry for the old Hyrule Field, Lost Woods, Lake Hylia, and what came to replace the things I'd come to love in Ocarina of Time. The whole time I played Wind Waker I wanted to explore the ancient Hyrule. I have to hand it to the dev's though. I'm pretty sure that's how they wanted me to feel, and they did a great job... but it still pissed me off, and to this day I want to explore that land, even though it wasn't programmed into the game. I actually went so far as to use an Action Replay to glitch myself out of the playing-field to explore the surroundings, which was completely unsatisfying, since what you could see of Hyrule, distant from the playing field, was actually just a painted wall, basically.

That poor zombie I onwned in Blops II. [Edited on 11.21.2012 10:08 PM PST]

Cooper in Age of Empires III, although it probably would have been much worse if I chose that upgrade that promoted him and made him better.
-
The Prophet of Regret. Beating the crap out of an old dude was in a hoverchair was cool, but just didn't... flow, I guess.
-
I had a few in Dark Souls that made me very upset.

Ben Carmine in GoW2. Oh look, the BROTHER of the guy who died in the first game! I WONDER what Epic Games will do with this character that we've NEVER seen before. Seriously, if you're gonna introduce this character who -blam!- dies, don't give him the SAME voice actor, body shape, and clothing that his brother had and at least give us SOME reason to care about him other than to play as him in Multiplayer.
