It takes place mostly on an outpost on the Moon. After a mysterious burst of energy coming from fifty miles away, your character, an astronaut, is assigned to investigate. All of a sudden, most power is turned off to the facility. It turns out there is a relic on the moon belonging to aliens.
No HUD to add to the experience.
Enemies are either humans driven insane, mutated humans or aliens.
What do you think?

So basically Half-Life: Dead Space? [Edited on 10.10.2012 9:35 PM PDT]

Turn the aliens into demons and you got yourself a kickass game.

Somehow that scenario sounds familiar as -blam!-
-
Mutated humans are really just "enhanced" humans. Yellow eyes and alien DNA.

Sorry, but that concept has literally been done to death.

Sounds good but what are we talking about gameplay-wise? Can the player walk on walls? Can he do karate moves? How do you obtain ammunition? Etc, etc.

How do you obtain ammunition for that matter? Perhaps ammunition is scattered about but few inbetween or perhaps there's a recharge station. Perhaps you even get ammunition off of corpses.

-facepalm- Sounds mediocre at best. The greatest horror game, and likely greatest game in general, would have you as a -blam!- SS Stomrtrooper and would start out with you gunning down a group of Jews. Your commanding officer would order you to open fire, and if you didn't you'd be killed and restart. So you'd be forced to use the trigger button, they'd scream, fall into the grave they dug. Maybe have the youngest child of their family run up and grab you pantleg and beg you to stop. You look up rather grimly, you officer points and yells to shoot, so you do, in the head. Then you kick the body in and you have another group of jews bury them. Then you move on, haunted by the actions you committed, and later murder your commander and flee into the wilderness and search for a partisan group. Survival horror. Haunted by the stuff you did, which would take a gameplay effect and you'd experience PTSD during the game, vision is distorted, people take the appearance of those you killed, shots and screams are heard, you snap back to the murder, etc. Of course, it'd never be made because of the backlash. But it'd elevate gaming to a higher level on par with books and movies.

Don't they understand an M is the same as an R rating? It's like they aren't even literate.

What about this one? You are a Red Army soldier on a mission when the -blam!-'s start using an experimental gas to make you start going insane. You see things.
