To improve the quality of posters, I think bungie.net should have a premium member subscription. The benefits would include being able to post 7 topics per day (normal unpaid members would only be able to post 1 or 2 topics), customizable profiles that don't require coup, and a special member title, as well as being able to post in special forums for premium members only.
I think this would improve the quality of the forums because premium users will think about what they post before they post it because they are more worried about breaking the rules since they paid for their membership. Normal members would put more thought into what they post since they only have one post per day. What do you guys think of this idea?
EDIT: I just had another idea. There would also be a limited number of replies to a topic a user can have withing a certain amount of time. For example, let's say an unpaid user can only reply to a thread 3 times every 30 minutes. That forces the user to think about what they are going to say before they reply.
EDIT: Ok, so you guys aren't a big fan of that idea. How about this: topic credits you can purchase. You can purchase however many topic credits you want, and with each topic you post after your alloted 1 or 2 topics per day, you use up one of these topic credits. Does this sound like a better idea? It gets rid of the elitism problem.
