What if Bungie made an "action sack" for the Halo's.
Halo CE-through Reach (minus Wars).
I think it would sell great having every Halo, I already see most of the Halo games are on Bungie.net store.
What do you think?
Please discuss and thank you.

I think I have no reason to pay again for something I already own one copy of and I suspect many people feel the same.
I'm the same way, but a lot of the community hasn't been with the series since CE. Half of the service records I end up on don't even have ODST or Halo 3 games on them.

Wait... what? k. I understand now. Or you know, you could just buy the games. Besides, it won't happen. They'd need to make new copies of all the games, which they won't. MS wouldn't want to go through the trouble. You can probably get something like this off eBay. And the random threads are getting kind of annoying. [Edited on 03.28.2011 1:15 PM PDT]
Posted by: DomDaBomb1997 Wait... what is this thread about?
A bundle that has all of the Halo games, from CE to Reach. The "Action Sack" name is confusing because you think of the gametype, like I did at first.
I have to imagine that the number of people who are both 1.) without all the Halo games and 2.) are willing and able to pay for all the Halo games is incredibly small. But who knows.
An ActionSack makes sense for the time that Bungie released their Mac one, but certainly not now. It's pretty easy to come across all of the Halo games since they're so commercially available and popular. Perhaps in a distant 20-30 years there will be a demand for a Halo Action-Sack for the newest generation of new-fangled gaming platforms, similar to how the original Mario games get re-released every few years.

Do you understand what Action Sack is?
-
Posted by: spartain ken 15 I never got it to work but Halo CE/2 over xbox live would be great again.
Simply releasing the discs again would not solve the problems that led to Halo 2 being removed from Xbox Live. Since Bungie has no rights to publish any Halo game, a Bungie-release Action Sack would consist of bungie buying all the halo games, putting them in a basket, and shipping them out to customers. This doesn't seem very efficient to me. A microsoft-released box set would possibly make sense... in another 5 to 10 years. As it is we ALL have the games, and anyone who doesn't simply doesn't want them. Now, if they were to add some original/concept artwork, a disc of video documentaries, all the map packs, and get it signed by some original team members, then that's something that might be interesting to collectors. Even that kind of thing wouldn't be interesting to the typical consumer until MS releases their new console in another four or five years though (according to both recent and very old rumors, at least). Even then, all of the Halo games are available for download individually via the XBL market, and that makes an expensive disc set look even more gratuitous.

That'd be cool but wait I already have the "action sack"

I see no point in reselling something that has nothing new to offer.

So much assuming... It's making me giddy!
Posted by: spartain ken 15 That is actually really cool, unfortunately I have only PC computers. :/
It doesn't really matter these days. Any Bungie game easily playable on a mac is also playable on a PC. Specifically Marathon and Myth have dedicated communities tasked with keeping them up to date and working on modern computers. Games earlier than that aren't really playable on Macs either without some special mojo. (I don't know if it's as simple as "compatibility mode" or not, since I don't have a Mac.) Edit: Also, have we all forgotten that there is a Universe forum specifically for discussing potential future Bungie projects? Poor neglected thing. [Edited on 03.28.2011 3:45 PM PDT]

I don't think it would sell very well. I'm sure most people who are interested in Halo already have it and the people who don't have it chose not to buy it for a reason.

I still see Halo CE and Halo 2 at the store NIB. Cheapest I've seen them new is $10. putting them in a box set will only increase prices, anyway.
