Posted by: GOAT GO BAAHH I stand by what I said although there are a few countries helping the US in Afghanistan and Iraq, I dont know all of em like the back of my hand. The fact is Japan and help its self. Nice to see Bungie doing a nice helpful thing, but america doesnt get the same treatment. I dont understand why people will donate $1 to Japan, but they wont give a dollar to a bum. Thats my main point. Noble thing on bungie's part, but before giving money elsewhere just think and give it in your neighbor hood
GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_response_to_Hurricane_Katrina I quote: The Japanese Foreign Ministry said that it would provide $200,000 in cash to the American Red Cross to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina. Japan also identified needs in affected regions via the U.S. government and provided up to $800,000 in emergency supplies such as tents, blankets and power generators if they receive requests from the U.S. for such assistance. Private and corporate donations totaled over $13 million.[33] One Japanese individual, Takashi Endo, donated USD $1 million from his personal funds to Katrina relief efforts. Use google before you go making sweeping statements like that BS. Did you guys come over here and help us during the London bombings? No you didn't because it was unnecessary. The death toll in Japan us now over 11,000. Japan is responsible for the games industry being what it is today. Now buy a wrist band and shut up.
-
An update would be great but we musn't forget why we're *donating* the wrist band is awesome but really if people want it to be something they can show off then that might not be the right mindset with which to *donate*. There are other ways to donate. Having said that I'm all for showing them off to get people to buy them specially here in England *hint hint bungie*... ;)
-
bungie, im very disappointed. The quality of the wrist band is not good at all. I know the overall purpose is to raise money for the victims in japan, but come on; the wrist band isn't even legible. And it wasnt even cut straight, it looked as if part of another wrist ban was still connected to it because it wasnt manufactured right.

I think it has been 2 weeks since they released these great ideas. But it isn't as great when you can't ship internationally. Please GIve an update
-
Posted by: Boolean121 So, Im guessing international shipping couldn't be worked out in the end :(
Yeah, I would like an update on this too!

When will Bungie sell this to international buyers?

@ GOAT GA BAAAHHHHHH Have you actually seen any pictures/clips at all from Japan?! Inconsiderate little twat. There's a clear difference between a terrorist attack and a natural disaster. The response to natural disasters is usually charity campaigns and such. The response to terrorist attacks is usually fighting back. And the sheer volume and scale of the terrible disaster in Japan wipes the floor with what happened in 9/11. 9/11 is like cannon fodder compared to most natural disasters. Shipping on these things takes a while, huh? I ordered mine a week or so ago and I don't think it has even left the warehouse yet. I'm not upset or anything and still very willing to support Japan. Just wish I could show it off to maybe convince others to buy one soon.
-
Great thing for Bungie to do, ordered one. Won't be wearing it though.
When we got hit on Sept 11 No one helped us out. When went to Iraq, Afghanistan and set a global war on terror. Who helped us? Ok the UK they are good guys, but other then them NO ONE
I suggest you read more and find out how many other countries were and still are involved in Iraq and Afghanistan war instead of talking -blam!-. anyway, bungie! wtf? any update on international shipping?
Posted by: GOAT GO BAAHH I dont understand Japan is the third richest country in the world. When we got hit on Sept 11 No one helped us out. When went to Iraq, Afghanistan and set a global war on terror. Who helped us? Ok the UK they are good guys, but other then them NO ONE. Why should we help Japan? Hati I can understand the children there eat MUD PIES actual pieces of Mud baked on the side of a hill and eat it just to fill their stomachs. But Japan, I dont understand why everyone is pushing to help them. Thats just me. All Im saying is dont be so quick to jump on the Next "Buying" Craze. AKA gotta help this country gotta help that country. People in America will help Japan before they donate food to a local food shelter. It never ceases to amaze me.
Hurray for ignorance [Edited on 03.24.2011 2:10 PM PDT]

Come on Bungie, update us a bit! you got dozens of international players waiting to be able to get these wristbands, is Amazon going to allow international shipment or not or what.
-
I'd also appreciate a status update on the international shipping situation. A great way to get people to support. When/if Bungie and Amazon sort out the shipping to the UK, I'll be getting one.
-
I bought the Art of Halo and it shipped from Big Boss Games. I was just wondering if the money is still going to the Tsunami Relief, even though it was shipped by a third party.
-
Any word on international shipping yet, I'm very eager to buy one from the UK
-
Bungie leave it to us, Amazon HQ, plasma grenades, DMR and a falcon you know it'll work!
-
Just donated. Thanks Bungie! We love you Japan. God Bless.
-
I will buy one!
-
Still waiting, come on Bungie/Amazon!!!
-
I've been talking with a group of friends about donating and I said i'd find a suitable place for us all to donate, so I was well pleased to see Bungie had provided us with a perfect way to support the effort. So i tried to order 10 to the UK, and as we all know by now international shipping is out of order. It's been 6 days since urk posted that they were on the job with Amazon, but it still isn't working. Come on Bungie, sort it out! [Edited on 03.22.2011 9:20 AM PDT]
