Nice theory, although I've grown tired of people thinking it's the shield world to the other Spartans.
It's not story! More than 75% of the Halo fans haven't read Ghost of Onyx! You run into Spartans you've never heard of? It wouldn't make sense to them. Thus why Bungie altered Halo: Reach from the book.
