Bungie: 2 World: 0 WTF? I have spent countless hours to try to get a beta code, and I get this. Failure...
-
*sigh* I guess 2 more days isn't too long of a wait. I kind of wish they would take these 2 posts down though, just so we wouldn't have to keep staring at what could have been.
-
The sad part about this is, most of the people who are mad about it now will forget about this come monday....and bungie knows that so they don't really care about the anger in the community right now because they know they'll still be making money and everyone will love them again once the beta is released to everyone. I cant believe this, Ive spent an hour with these codes, Im soooooo Unlucky :( :(
-
They should have sent the codes out to bungie members via PM, I just did every single code on those 2 pages and they are all taken /Cries
-
man i agree with the pm would be better to avoid the bots but the time it would take bungie to do that would take way to long for them i am just going to have to wait till Monday.
-
I would feel better loved if you had just put out the beta today as a surprise instead of doing all this ridiculous stuff. But, whatever, if you say so.
-
any beta code rejects such as myself want to go game some halo 3? That has to be almost as good right? gt: mBeastin

Most people work during the week.. especially Mondays.. why release the beta on a Monday, then force others to compete to play during the weekend? I would like to say I think this is pretty ridiculous. There are many gamers who are subscribed and registered to your web page, whether its free or not. Many more who even have their gamertag linked to their profile. You release over 1000 codes for us to compete over and strain our eyes and fingers out over just to play your beta 2 days early, on a weekend no less. Why? Any person who hears word of mouth, or reads links on a page can surf over, and see the blatant links right on your main page, whether they have an account with you or not.. Why allow them the privilege to play the beta early if they aren't even as devoted as your true followers and fans are? I think its absurd to have us all fight over a random code that may or may not have been used. It would be much easier to ask people who are registered to send a simple 2 word request, and reply with a code. That way that ONE code is used for that ONE person. No countless efforts, only to be infuriated and let down repeatedly while others are having a blast. Sure, this might lead others to register with your web page, but at least this would entitle only those willing enough to create an email and an account, or at least half the effort to "log in" if they already have one, then to request a code, then to finally receive one. I've been playing Halo since the original. I've had an Xbox Live account for over 6 years. I think this type of contest is a slap in the face to those who are already loyal customers and money-payers to both you(Bungie) and Microsoft. This was a huge waste of many peoples time today. Sure, you can shrug it off and say to people like myself "Well no one forced you to sit there and search and wait for a code all day. No one twisted your arm and said you had to play the game days early". If thats how you want to react to your customers who are giving you critical advise, then so be it. I just think this was a spit on the shoes of those who have been more earning to play this Beta. GamerTag: Tempest Demon.

well. damn. out of over 1000 codes I couldn't manage to snag one. me = pissed so come monday you guys should watch or the gamertag v1t1m1n A cuz i'm gonna be unleashing hell with the force of 1000 midgets. haha. oh well. i suppose it wouldn't hurt to have a life this weekend. it'll probably be the last time i get out until may 19th.
-
I wish I had the same luck as everyone here.
-
and me wanted to be your friend *sad face* ;(
-
Nice gesture, although all it did was frustrate me. Clicked it after 2 minutes, and after an hour of trying around 500 codes) I have given up. You win, Bungie, you win.
-
Damn and I was hoping that I could atleast get a key since someone recently stole my halo 3.
Posted by: L3377MA573R Damn. I love you guys for this, but I was too late. Spent too much time entering these. I really appreciate it, but I just wish I had been a bit earlier.
Doesn't matter how early you were, the bots got them all instantly, I've been here for 2 1/2 hours trying, and am sick to my stomach, I feel like they are completely wasting our time now
-
Well ain't this the pits. How can such an enormous list of keys be used up so fast? Or maybe I'm just super unlucky and I'm only trying the used ones lol. A PM'd key would be nice ;)
-
This just shows how much life hates me, i dont even feel like playing the beta on monday. Ive heard so much about the beta from my friends its like ive played it for weeks, and since that 1000 code post was gone in seconds i dont even feel like complaining about how unfair it was.
-
Blah, no code for me. Tried and Tried and Tried. I am sick of "This code has already been used" All because I wanted to eat dinner. Grrr
-
Posted by: Wolfeaglemike
Posted by: TCB Waffles Literally more than 200 codes via b.net. And much more from Twitter. I guess I'm just not lucky enough to beat the bots. I know its really lame/nerdy, and kinda sad actually.. but I feel sick to my stomach.
I feel like I'm gonna puke too, I spent 2 1/2 hours entering code, after all this, I dont even want in on monday. Im gonna puke on my stupidly invested odst disc
Yeah, this whole thing just makes me feel so demoralised and devalued. Why should some random retard (who hasn't bourght the 'key to the beta') get in before somebody who has bourght the 'KEY TO THE BETA' keyword being KEY.

Damn. I love you guys for this, but I was too late. Spent too much time entering these. I really appreciate it, but I just wish I had been a bit earlier.

While I am bummed as hell because none of the codes I used worked, I will still support Bungie and their games to come. I dont know of another company that pulls such a community stunt such as this on their own website for their own game. Props Grunty
Posted by: Wolfeaglemike So mad I just snapped my original Halo 3 disc in half
Well that's not good.
-
The tone of this thread has changed dramatically since the beginning...
-
Bungie doesn't care about the few, unfortunate Losers. Like me. All they care about is the other 1190820178 people who got codes and now love them. QQ4Life

Will you just PM next time. I just got home and they're probably all used by now. This is lame.
