Forbes Pre-Reviews New Destiny "Content" In One Sentence

"The Tower looks pretty, I bumped up my Ghost’s light level, and playing with the buff in Crimson Doubles is pretty fun. The end. The game is now producing content that can be reviewed in a single sentence, before it’s even played." http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2016/02/05/destinys-crimson-days-sums-up-everything-currently-wrong-with-the-game/#2c4923ecc0b4

Honestly, no matter what happens, Bungie is, was, and always will be in a position where there is huge backlash and negativity no matter what they do. Pre launch, Bungie overhypes game through extensive communication, community explodes with hate at launch (understandable and completely valid hate, but this is where it all started). Bungie releases Queens Wrath event, which had flaws, but did provide a convenient way to obtain Legendary gear. Community complains that it is just a rehash of existing missions and the event hasn't returned since. Months later, people beg for it to come back like it was the greatest thing ever. Bungie has a monthly podcast that shares a bit of information and insight about the creation of Destiny. The community complains that it's stupid, pointless, and has little to no value. Podcast just stopped happening, contributing to the information drought and lack of communication we are currently in. Community later complains that podcast ended. People complain about Dinklebot, Bungie replaces Peter Dinklage with Nolan North and the complainers who caused the change write petitions to reverse said change. The community complains that Bungie isn't being open about communicating before HoW launch and demands to know more about the upcoming expansion, in light of the disappointment that was Dark Below. Bungie has streams to reveal new content. Community whines and bitches about guests on the streams, DeeJ, the delivery of the news, and everything else imaginable. Bungie reveals PoE before HoW launch, community complains that it's not a raid, despite whining about CE to no end, says it's stupid before playing it and threatens to sue Bungie because they promised a raid on the season pass. Months later community demands PoE be made relevant again like it's the best part of the game. Bungie announces Eververse as a way to help pay for new content and maintenance of Destiny, community complains about Festival of Lost, SRL, and now Crimson Days, all while spending countless dollars on emotes and sparrows that they previously complained about. (That's not all, but now today...) Community (once again) demands that Bungie be more open about the future and state of the game. In a single week, we get two updates about matchmaking from DeeJ, the news about a new CEO directly from Bungie, the BWU and multiple forum threads. The next week we get a massive amount of info regarding changes in the BWU. Community complains that it's "once again" PvP centric and demands a PvE update. Bungie will never win. This community honestly seems to have put them in a place where they just don't even want to try anymore. Edit: Apparently I'm a fanboy #desticle because I'm "defending" Bungie. I didn't know pointing out facts and summing up the history of this community was classified as defending...?
