Don't nerf mida, buff more guns
Mida is in an archetype of scouts that is the best middle tier, it kills quickly and it just so happens to have very good perks and stats, instead of nerfing it like every gun that gets nerfed buff a lot of other weapons that can compete for a meta with much more variety, please. And kids who keep getting killed by it shut up, it doesn't need a nerf, I've played this game for a year, and a meta where multiple guns are effective in crucible is needed now, and I mean primaries, not specials.

I'll agree with you about it being op after bungie tune the weapons around the scout rifles to get more guns to reach perfection. Until then take what I said into consideration and just remember that mida wasn't op in year one unless you weren't quick scoping!!!

4 RepliesMIDA does need to be toned down a little bit. The thing is a -blam!-ing win button right now. It's not really even an exotic. It's a scout rifle with a ton of legendary perks. It also has a fire rate an stability too high for the impact that it has, on top of maxed out reload speed. Not to mention how Bungie always says shit about how if a gun performs outside of it's range it's broken. MIDA is the only scout rifle that beats snipers at a sniper rifle range. On skyshock you can beat a sniper at a distance from planes to C in control. And you can do it in 4 shots. I like to use a variety of primaries in crucible and MIDA is always the one I can go to when I don't feel like working for a kill. I look at people and it just happens. The only primary that will even sort of compete with it right now is Grasp of Malok with stability perks. Or Last Word if you manage to sneak up close, which is rare since MIDA has perma radar. It kills too fast for how fast it fires in addition to the hidden high caliber rounds it has. Lower the impact on MIDA and it will be a more level playing field. Multi tool is the new Thorn. It's a crutch.

2 RepliesThe mida rewards an accurate aim and this is why it's been popular because people have become very proficient with it. It isn't the gun that's op, it's just a lot of people are good at using it. However, I find it annoying how you can get out gunned at close range with it, your using a close range weapons like an auto rifle.

We've had a 1 1/2 years of nerfs all in the name of balance. Is PvP more balanced though? I'd have to say that it is somewhat more balanced than in the past. However, The constant nerfs are killing weapons for PvE. Nerfing weapons may make balance possible in PvP, because all weapons their are on the level with each other. Meaning that the nerfs are geared towards making all weapons equal. However when a gun is nerfed in PvP, they don't bring down the guns the PvE enemies use as well. So our weapons keep getting less and less powerful but the hive, taken cabal and fallen are still using un-nerfed weapons. It's time to stop nerfing each weapon in turn, and start bring up those lower powered weapons instead.

3 RepliesThere's a difference between using a popular viable weapon and a weapon that is unbalanced overpowered. The Thorn was unbalanced and over powered. It could kill quickly and had ridiculous range for a hand cannon. MIDA is fine. It's just becoming more recognizable as a viable weapon.

I think they already messed with it. I was using it yesterday and I think they took high caliber off as I've seen snipers still getting headshots on my after tagging them in the head a few times
