Comment here your experience with Iron Banner Rift (Data for Deej/Bungie)
Edit: Decided to wrote out better the results. This could ALSO help for Bungie/Deej data for matchmaking and what people think of Iron Banner Rift. Note that I have not play it yet, when I do I will add up my experience
Edit 2: Wow... seen a lot fo replies, thanks. From what I have see, its spawntrapping, sniping and camping for the msot time. Eithe rits the worse lag, or no lag, what people comment
There are foods and drinks on the counter, just dont make mess >_< I always need to clean up by myself

2 RepliesFireteam matched against randoms: Why is that even allowed? People don't even try to go for the spark. I have the spark, get to the rift, only to get killed on the rift because the lag doesn't allow me to ignite it. Spark runner not protected by their team. Getting added to matches other people have left so you get steamroller and mercy ruled.

checking on tuesday, was always paired with yellow/red bars. this was over a period of approx 4-5 hours. wednesday, i was with 95% green bars, with the occasional red/yellow bar, this was over a period of about 3-4 hours. had gotta kicked a few times right to orbit on the first couple game i played yesterday, but the rest of the night was solid (connection wise). aaaaand still kinda hate rift. keep it to the weekly or daily playlists if you do an event for it at all.

9 RepliesEdited by MILKES: 1/26/2016 10:08:13 PMFeedback in a nutshell First game - 4 players left as the opposition ignited the first spark - Took a couple of minutes before we got back to a full team, left to survive with 3 on 6 - opposition got heavy and camped out spawn and killed me 5 times with one heavy clip ( Hallowed Quilims Terminus ) - almost mercy ruled as we caved to epic loss 2nd game - joined 20 seconds before mercy rule activated due to massively one sided score line 3rd game - Landslide loss, 2nd time "breaking up teams to create fair match" 4th game -landslide loss, spawn kills a plenty, team running like headless chickens once one side dominates spark area -mercy rule instigated 5th game - 20000 - 8000 loss, going to bed angry and extremely upset at Bungie, least fun PVP or Iron Banner event in my memory, and you expect me to "team up and recruit" at 10:00 at night after a long day to get sweaty with strangers, I'd swear but I'm trying to give my honest experience. NEVER DO THIS AGAIN I'm so angry I can scream, for gods sake Bungie what the hell are you doing!!!!!! IRON BANNER IS NOT A SQUAD EVENT, tinker in your own time and leave team events to trials and raids, this is the one event us solos like to play PVP [spoiler]i can't stick this out for 3 characters [/spoiler] #Deej #notyourbestmoment

1 ReplyBy some miracle I actually finished a match in first ... checking off that bounty requirement. I like Rift that its more of a bloodbath, but I've found over and over again that everyone seems to be fighting over the Spark -- everyone tries to get it --- and then they end up dead. When we need to complete all these bounties just to make individual rank the whole team concept goes out the window. I don't know how they really expected this to be a successful team based event with such terrible bounties. They should have been based on spark runner defense/kills/captures and not primary/special kills. So instead of worrying about the spark, I have to run around and get kills with various substandard weapons.

During the 6man fireteam we steamrolled over randoms. It simply wasn't fair. It was fun but having been in the receiving end before I know exactly how discouraging that was to them. Losing needs to give rep, the 5 medallions aren't enough. When we fought other 6man fireteams and I noticed something interesting about how those played out. If one team got a lead of 3 captures the other team just rolls over. Easier to just accept the medallion and move on to the randoms. Shark infested waters. Losing needs to be more rewarding if the event is only a week. This is some solo players only opportunity for higher light gear or even new gear to grind for. If pve events aren't going to exist then iron banner has to be more rewarding. Rift itself makes for fast games when it's against randoms. Maybe that's even a good thing. I know if I could get through an obvious loss quicker I would want to hurry it up. Rift is that game type that can rush you to mercy rulings. But again losing needs to give more rep, medallions isn't a good system.

We should not have to find a team for every aspect of this game. Iron banner was the only part that I could get all of the loot and not worry about a team or going FLAWLESS. The lag is still horrible. A team versus a group of randoms in every match is not fair and that is what I had every single time for about 15 games. Shotguns srill kill from about 30 ft away. People not taking damage. If rift is going to be in the rotation, I guess after 15 months that I just might have to hang up the only game that has keep my attention for more than 6 months. Because I should NOT have to find a team for every aspect of this game. It is bad enough that I can't find a good enough lfg group for the raid to get it finished anymore, but now I will now be able to get iron banner done either.

1 ReplyHe is my opinion on Iron Banner these month. I played 5 or 6 games with 1 other clan mate in my fire team. We usually do pretty well in Iron Banner but seemed to lose every game by an un-explainable point spread. This could be due to a number of things. Later I went in solo for another 2 or 3 games and still got the same results. My overall experience last night was so frustrating to say the least. For instance the "LAG" was real. There had to have been at least 3-4 people on the other team red barring the entire match. Hopefully this is/gets fixed. Also if your going to run a different game mode like Rift or Salvage at least have the bounties collaborate with that event so people will just go in and try that game mode. I will try Iron Banner again tonight to see if anything changes. My expectations will be set low. Hopefully Bungie will change that.

I've read only a handful of replies to this thread and the majority have spoken (as they did when Rift was annonced) - BAD IDEA BUNGIE. I played around 12 games last night and won 4. Nobody wants to play and there's a hell of a lot of raging in the party chat from my clan and I don't want to play on my own. Yes, for the most part Destiny is a team based game but IB has always been playable solo and you had a chance of being matched with randoms who have no clue what PvP is or are just bad but at least you had a chance to win. Rift is terrible for solo players as it's almost impossible to win and makes the grind unbelievable and players not wanting to compete in IB this time. Bad move Bungie, I hope you choke on the numbers of players not participating this time around.

2 RepliesAwesome experience, Bungie! Was going Solo the whole time I played today, I think I lost 1 out 10 matches. Never saw any lag (on my end, at least). I was runner every time. Thank you for the experience, Deej, Cozmo, Dev team. Well definitely try to get Rank 5 on all characters.

I played last night for I think 6 games I played as a random and out of those six I won one the other 5 were so one sided that they were mercy ruled or a 10000 point spread... This is the most frustrating iron banner I've ever played and I've been here since week 3 of year one

After about 4-5 hours I decided that it wasn't fun for myself (between the lag, 6-v-randoms, and overall sweatiness). To fix that I have decided to just use ice breaker. SO MUCH MORE FUN!!! I MISS THE SOUNDS OF THIS BEAUTY!

Cannot solo this IB at all. Must have at least half a fire team to even TRY to win. Very one sided games. Rift in my opinion is a horrible choice. Also, the lag, God the lag!!!
