Anyone else think there should be more and newer weapons?
Look at this way, Bungie is making a lot of dough from micro transactions and of course sales from the game in the past few months.
So I don't see why they can't jus throw in new weapons here and there since there isn't a DLC being released until destiny 2.
Think about it, imagine omolon having an auto rifle (that's not hard light so shut it) and shotgun, and pulse rifle. Or suros having a shotgun, sniper, and hand cannon (even tho HC's suck it be nice to see), and hakke having a scout rifle since hakke has a bit of well rounded weapon types.
And since suros has a rocket launchers it'd be really nice if the other foundries offered heavy weapons.
This is jus a theory an think it'd fix the hole weapon issues and also add in more endgame content.

I believe that they need to start over. Undo every nerf and buff figure out what actually was working right then fix the rest As an example Midas only op right now because everything else has been messed with Nerfing mida fixes nothing it just makes things worse.

Yeah and they could bring back some of the endgame weapons to 280 light with infusion and get rid of the burns.

hopefully different gun manufacturers. Suros looks like a bunch of plastic waterguns and Omolon looks like just a bunch of plastic, overly geometric toys.

1 ReplyI agree with what your saying about the foundry weapons, but what I would like to see is guns like queen's breaker bow and the other two guns related to it with the other enemy types. I would really like to use a gun like the boomer cannon or like the line rifle the vex like to use so much or even the guns the cabal use for a fact. Now I know this seems like a stupid idea, but it would be cool in my opinion

I agree, the current inventory is starting to feel a quite threadbare. I would really like to see some new stuff...even though my vault is already chock-a-block. However, I also have to agree with what some have been saying that Bungie has created a hard spot for themselves. They're gun shy (no pun intended, really) of adding new guns because 1: it's hard to really do anything new at this point given what they have to work with and 2: the areas where it would be obvious that improvements could be made they are afraid to do because the weapons would be better than the current offerings, or so much worse that no one would use them except as a joke or to show how really skilled they are. Bungie has to keep the weapons kind of lackluster because anything really good will be OP and unbalanced, and everyone will use it, and then everyone will get tired of being killed by it and call for it to be nerfed. I think the most we can hope for at this point is just something that has a cool cosmetic look. Sorry for stating the obvious.

1 ReplyThey haven't really made new weapons since Vanilla other than exotics. They're all the same archetypes. They just slap on a new skin and name and call it new.

I agree, the game is getting stale because of lack of content and exotics to collect. There are no motivations to find good legendaries past a few because there r so little and once you get the one you need or want you're good. Best shotgun and sniper are basically handed out to you after an easy quest.
