can you imagine the amount of people that want to transfer their accounts from xbox one to ps4 or vice versa, if they released a limited time event where you could transfer your account but it would cost you real money, not in game silver, i would do it personally, maybe for the release of Destiny 2 that could be a thing. think about it, as a company you're forcing them to repurchase the DLC, and buy the game again, plus making them to transfer their character, let's say 25$ a character (like world of warcraft) and 500,00 players transfer 1 character, that is roughly 12.5 million dollars in sales in that limited time, and i don't know about you but i want to transfer all 3 characters, but lets say only 200,00 people want to do that, that's 15 million dollars. With all the hype of destiny 2, the hardcore players will seriously want in on anything destiny related, i spent 80$ on the legendary edition of the taken king no problem. the better the game looks the more the hype will be, but there will always be the conflict of wanting to switch consoles but being forced to stay because of your destiny account, sales for systems might even go up cause the only thing keeping me with my xbox one is my destiny account. just a thought, Bungie likes money, i like destiny and i don't wanna lose t he time i invested into this game.
