SRL BROKE ALL MY SPARROWS!!!!! FIXED.
Bungie, since the update I have had to remap my controller from L2 to L1 to enable my Sparrow to travel at correct speeds.
[b]* My controller has been fully tested, the issue is not with it.
* It has nothing to do with a hair trigger option I am on PS4.
* It effects all my Sparrow's both in racing and in Patrol.
* Tumbler sparrows can no longer tumble because boost no longer works.
* ADS still works perfectly also confirming that there is nothing wrong with my controller.
* My case is not isolated it has had numerous posts on here and reddit, yet you still haven't aknowledged that there is an issue![/b]
As it appears to have not happened to the majority of us I am assuming it must have something to do with the firmware inside our controllers that is not compatable with the latest update, but I am certainly not going to go out and buy a new controller just so I can get my top speed back on my Sparrow!
What I would like is a confirmation that you are aware of it and are investigating a possible fix.
[b]SOLUTION FOUND![/b]
I got so annoyed by this issue I decided to open up the controller to see if I could locate any problem within the controller (dont attempt this unless it is out of warranty and you are feeling confident with electronic parts)
Behind the bumpers there is a silicone grommet, the bumper uses a hard plastic edge to push down onto the soft silicone grommet which registered the pressure applied to the controller allowing for the analogue signal.
The hard plastic wears down the silicone grommet so that the full pressure can not be applied, meaning you will never reach full boost.
The grommet can not be repaired only replaced by shopping on lline.
In this case I owe Bungie an apology, but still think that they should of at least acknowledged that they were aware of an issue.
After discovering the fault I was also able to find a reddit link with photo and confirmation.

1 ReplyI have the exact same problem as you dedbydwn. I wonder if this problem is related to the Black Spindle problem? A friend of mine has no problem boosting with L2 and his Black Spindle is working as before. On my Black Spindle - Field Choke and CQB Ballistics are unavailable. - I have the Digital Guardian Edition, my friend hasn't. - I'm into Refer-A-Friend, my friend isn't. Can it have something to do with that?

1 ReplyDo you have the stock ps4 controller? Or do you have a different one? If it's the stock one neither I nor my boyfriend have any problems so that would rule out your firmware theory. I honestly don't know what's going on with the people that have these issues... I don't have any :/

1 ReplyHi ded Let me first say that i actually believe you that its not your controller. I've seen a few cases (even a good friend of mine) whose sparrow refuses to go more than about 100-110. My normal driving is faster than his boosting basically. We are also playstation and also his triggers are fully depressing. So there definitly seems to be something going on even if its for a non majority. The reports are out there (ive handled s few myself) so I'm fairly sure bungie is aware and looking into it. Though no official word has trickled down.

Buddy of mine uses a different (greenthumb?) Controller config, and keeps getting stopped during races. Myself however, have a genuine controller, and use the default layout, and have 0(zero) problems.

1 ReplyIt could be the controller, in bf4 i had a problem with the L2 ADS for snipers it would not work, on other weapons yes. Also in gta 5 my car would not go fast even holding the trigger. So i bought a new controller and it did the trick
