The Truth (Refer a Friend)

Destiny is dying. It's really no secret. The average amount of time people spend on this game is trending downwards, rapidly. Many have moved on to other games, or at least spend a large portion of times on other games in comparison to when Destiny first came out through its first year. That is totally normal. People are burned out, and many day one players are beginning to "see the light". Destiny is an egregious money grab. While it started this way, it has indeed progressively gotten worse. Many of us were caught hook, line, and sinker. We spent countless hours playing the SAME GODDAMN strikes and raids over. And over. And over again, eagerly awaiting the next expansion that promises to be "what we've been waiting for". You know, the one that is going to finally deliver the experience we all wanted from the beginning. Then we slowly began to realize... This game will never, EVER be the game we had envisioned. And guess what? Bungie began to realize that we had caught on. So what did they do? Release meaningful content? Expand at all on this shell of a game? Address the overwhelming mediocrity of this whole "experience"? Nah. They released dance moves for real money. And we bought them. Now, Destiscles, I want you to lay down your irrational and tired defense of this game and company for just one minute to consider the fact that maybe, just maybe, this entire game is an enormous sham that you and I were duped into being a part of. I want you to honestly look at what you and I have supported. We've supported extortion. We have been reduced to mindless puppets. We've been bullied. The worst part? We continue to defend this social experiment called Destiny, and guess what? You're the lab rat. But, sometime after we'd spent $140 on this shell of a game, and maybe $20 more so that we could dance around the tower like goddamn Michael Jackson, many of us began to realize these very issues. We began to put this game down in lieu of other games, time with family and friends, and hobbies we once enjoyed. Many of us began to realize: this game is a glorified piece of horse shit that truly isn't worth our time. Players left in droves, on to much, much greener pastures. Friends lists full of people playing other games, with a handful remaining on Destiny. You noticed, I noticed, Bungie noticed. "Shit, they're realizing the truth. Who will be left to pay for our over-priced, over-hyped, unimaginative, redundant, same goddamn mission backwards steaming pile of DLC? And dear GOD, WHAT ABOUT THE DANCE MOVES?!?" So they responded. "Please, please refer a friend. We need fresh blood on which to leach, as you guys have nearly been bled dry. We just... Have to make more money on these fcking dance moves. Please. Don't you have anybody?? What about your 9-year-old nephew? Shit, does your grandma have a PS4? What about that drug addict who just got clean, can you get them to start playing? Come on, ANYBODY!!" Refer a friend? Suck my dick.

  • I played Destiny and didn't get any free DLC. I had to pay for everything. I am playing battlefront and they are already giving us a free map. It makes me feel extremely appreciated. I realize Battlefront has a season pass, but I didn't even buy the season pass and they're giving me a free map. I never felt appreciated in Destiny. I feel appreciated by DICE.
