I think we can all at least agree that weapon balance and finding the right weapon to use in PVP has been wildly moving target over the last year. Now, imagine if we were playing a version of Destiny today where not a single weapon was ever nerfed. Yes unfortunately, in that version of Destiny whatever weapon plagued you would still exist, but think of all the options that would also exist for you to give it right back to your opponent.
- Ves Mythoclast (nerfed)
- Suros and all auto rifles (nerfed)
- Thorn, Last Word, all hand cannons (nerfed)
- All shotguns (soon to be nerfed)
- Fusion rifles (nerfed)
- 1 hit kill snipers (nerfed)
- All pulse rifles (soon to be nerfed)
When that first weapons nerf was cried for over a year ago and Bungie delivered, did it send pvp down a slippery slope? Would it have been better off with only a few specific weapon "buffs" instead of "nerfs"? I dunno.....your thoughts please.
EDIT: I just think this consistent mentality of "how to we bring weapons DOWN when they succeed?", should be replaced more with "how do we bring other weapons UP?"
EDIT: Would be funny if Bungie added a crucible mode where no weapons were ever nerfed, and only received the buffs that they did over the year. Call it vanilla mode mayhem or something haha.

Yes, now when things get nerfed everyone starts using the same weapons. At least pre-nerf there was more variety. Now everything is cyclical, soon there will be a cry to nerf scout rifles.
