Is it possible to redbar on a wired connection? I was a redbar on my most recent iron banner match. Even my connection is 41.16 Mbps down 6.83 Mbps up packet loss just went up to 13%, but normally its 0. Latency 48 ms. NAT open all services available on a Xbox one.

  • 13% packet loss is quite a bit.

  • So destiny runs on p2p so your not connected to a server that houses the game world, each player has the game world on their console and all players in the lobby are connected to a host (which is one of the players). P2p will often borrow utility to help keep all clients stable. However this is how people can cheat via witching lag, ddos etc etc. your connection is perfectly fine, it's simply how this kind of system works.

Just Destiny. Also, if there was a red bar in the lobby, they tend to drag everybody's connection down. Other possibility is that you were playing against people further away from you.

Somebody was sending you extra packets... You can check your data transmission logs in your system. On xbox1 these logs are generated in 24 hour blocks and are broken down hourly. Pretty easy to tell is someone was spamming jpegs at you. Your data will be through the roof for that timeframe. If this is the case, make sure you report the incident to console.
