This is another idea of mine. This time, the Ahamkara finally get some light shone on their lore. Enjoy.
The Reincarnation: Hive Strike
Location: Temple of Crota, Ocean of Storms, Earth's Moon
Description: "Some Hive choose not to believe that the Demi-God Crota is dead. They even believe that Durog, one of their former Celebrants is in fact a reincarnation of Crota. Durog has turned what remains of the Spawn of Crota into his own worshippers. Although we believe that the Hive prince no longer walks our realm or his own, it is best we don't take any chances, and don't have another "Thalnok incident."- Eris Morn
Part 1: Blade of the Swarm Princes
Players spawn outside the Temple of Crota on the Moon, and see that the door leading inside is closed.
Ghost: "Eris, the door to the Temple is shut, locked... I'm trying to open it, but it says it requires a Swarm Prince blade."
Eris: "This is unusual for the Hive. Whenever they lock their doors, they are protecting something of immense value. Go to the ritual site outside the Hellmouth, where you slew one of the Princes. His blade must still be there somewhere."
Players travel to the Hellmouth, and find the ritual site. There, they see the sword lodged in the altar.
Ghost: "If my scans are correct, the sword is fused into the altar with a spell cast by a Wizard. But it only works if she is in close proximity. The Wizard must still be here."
Suddenly, Hive appear from the small caves surrounding the site. Soon, a Wizard named "Keeper of the Swarm" appears as well. When players defeat her, one player will take the sword, which is a relic that will be used for the whole Strike.
Ghost: "Alright, let's get back to the Temple of Crota."
Once players come back, they approach the door, and it opens. They step inside.
Part 2: Whispers of Dragons
Players enter, and push into the Temple of Crota.
Eris: "I know that Crota cannot be born again. You slew him in that pit. What was his palace is now his grave, never his place of rebirth."
Eventually, players reach the room with the idling Seeder after fighting through many Hive.
Eris: "I hear the whispers of the ritual. They are giving Durog the blessing of Oryx. But I also hear them speak of something else..."
Ghost: "If Oryx didn't approve of Thalnok, I would assume he wouldn't approve this. But why do it anyway?"
Eris: "The Hive lost their prince and their king. They have no leadership, and are therefore crippled. They need something to rally behind."
After fighting through more Hive, and advancing further, players reach Chamber of Night (where the shard of the Traveler was kept.)
Eris: "The whispers are louder. They speak of Crota, and something else. I do not quite understand them."
Ghost: "The door leading to the chamber is sealed, but I should be able to crack it this time."
Before Ghost can do so, however, a phantom that looks like a dragon appears.
Eris: "Drakool, the Ahamkara has returned with a vengeance!!!"
Drakool: "You slayed my kind in the Hunt! But now, it is you who shall become the Hunted!!!"
Drakool's phantom disappears.
Eris: "The Hive want to gift Durog with the knowledge and abilities of the ancient dragons! We must stop them, or else the Hive will rise with a new leader, and extinguish humanity!"
More Hive appear. Players fend them off while Ghost opens the door. Eventually, it is done.
Ghost: "I've got it! Common, let's go!"
Players advance further into the Chamber. Soon, they reach the final room.
Part 3/boss fight: Drakool, The Reincarnated
Inside the Chamber, players see a group of Knights encircling Durog, who actually looks like Crota. Also above them, the phantom of Drakool sits, staring at the players. Suddenly, Drakool enters Durog's body, and possesses him.
Ghost: "What happened?! Drakool disappeared!"
Eris: "Drakool did not leave. He took control of Durog's mind, and flesh. The Ahamkaras had always been able to do such things before."
Drakool, now in Durog's body emits a shockwave that sends the other Knights flying back.
Drakool: "Let the Hunt begin!"
Drakool grows a pair of wings, and begins glowing with fire all over his body. He charges at players while flying low to the ground. Although he does shoot fireballs as a distance attack, he mainly attacks with his own sword, and fire breath (like a dragon.) The only player that can hurt Drakool is the sword bearer. But since Drakool is constantly flying around, the sword bearer will only land a few hits on him, unless there are Nightstalker Hunters in the Fireteam. In that case, the Hunters can charge up their Tether thanks to constantly-spawning enemies, and Tether down Drakool. If they do, Drakool will stop flying, and walk slowly on the ground, enabling for more sword hits. Drakool will still use all his attacks, though. Once the Tether runs out, Drakool will resume flying, but as mentioned before, Hunters have lots of enemies at their own disposal to charge up their Tethers quickly. After this process is repeated a few more times, Drakool leaves Durog's body. Durog drops dead, dying from his injuries.
Eris: "Yes... May the Ahamkara be put to rest once more. Had we let this slip past us, the Hive would have launched another assault on Earth, and had the Ahamkara been leading them, humanity would've finally met its end. Thank you, for believing in me."
Strike over.
STRIKE LOOT
Blade of Fearless Ahamkara: Legendary Sword (Solar.)
"Though you may walk among the dead, you still make impressions... Oh bearer mine."
Perk: "Flame of the Dragon"
Each hit with this weapon deals damage over time.
Treads of Majestic Ahamkara: Legendary Hunter Boots
"Keep your worries hidden, break your bonds, and fly, oh bearer mine."
Perk: "Flight of the Valkyries"
When worn, Agility increases tremendously while using any abilities.
GRIMOIRE
1: Keeper of the Swarm
The Swarm Princes were dead, killed at the hands of Guardians, but their blades still haunt this world. The Hive knew a new batch of Knights willing to serve as Swarm Princes would rise eventually. Until then, the swords must be preserved, nurtured, and protected. And thus, the Keeper of the Swarm was born.
2: Drakool, The Reincarnated
Yeah, I still remember when I downed the last dragon. I kept one of its scales as keepsakes - much to the disapproval of Ikora and the others, - that I still have on me to this day. The thing was, me and this dragon were good friends. He mentored me, and taught me some skills that I passed down to other Hunters.
That was why it was so hard for me to kill Drakool. He knew what I came to do before our duel even started. He told me there was still time to change, to be different. At the time, I was just following orders. I haven't felt the same since, but try not to think about it much.
Yes, I know about what happened on the Moon. In my honest opinion, Drakool didn't deserve what he got. Wanting revenge is understandable, but Drakool wasn't evil. The Hive would've corrupted him into a shadow of his former self. And you know what? I bet you Drakool is glad to be dead. Better dead then evil.
3: Durog, Celebrant of Crota
The Hive have lost all their true leaders. Crota was slain with his own sword, Oryx banished forever. The Hive had no purpose then. Nothing was theirs to fight for. So, they created a new purpose. Durog looking like Crota is just coincidence. It didn't mean anything. But as expected, the Hive perceived it as some sort of omen. But unexpectedly, they actually took it seriously, and to a much further extent than anything before.
Again, just an idea. But please, do send Feedback, and tell me what you think! Maybe this idea could somehow be implemented? Thanks for reading!

Love this idea.
-
Good but rather than the shadowshot thing, make it so anyone can stagger him, be it rockets, high impact snipers, high DPS supers etc. The only thing that can damage him though is the sword, see?
-
you should not need a specific class to do the strike.
-
I actually really like this. The gameplay side, the story side, it all sounds good. Racing from the Temple of Crota, into the Hellmouth, and back again does sound rather tedious though. Either I misunderstood that part or you should consider an alternative somehow. Beyond that, the only suggestion I have would be to make it so that ANY Super can down him temporarily, but Shadowshot downs him for a longer period of time. Sunsingers and Defenders would be at a disadvantage, but it's not like Warlocks and Titans can't just switch subclasses for one measly strike if it's really THAT big of a deal (and it wouldn't be since they can just generate orbs for the other non-swordbearer anyway).
-
This actually seems nice. Bungie would never do this. ~TheGreatNike
-
Instead of s tether to slow down the boss maybe have it so you have to activate brands like in the first part of kings fall to activate some kind of emp on the boss so it isnt class reliant
-
Forgive my low knowledge of the lore, but why do your weapon descriptions say "oh bearer, mine"? I thought that is what the worms said, not the ahamkara. Not hating, just need educated here.
-
No more hive please
-
I like it but it seems to relies a lot on hunters to get the strike done quickly and if you don't have a Hunter running night stalker it could be frustrating, other than that it seems good
-
Really impressive! But this would have to be implemented with a little more backstory. Other than that, AMAZING!!!
-
I'm sick of the damned Hive.
-
Too many hove strikes already, bungie pls nerf hive strikes

YES 100000/6 WOULD PLAY FOREVER
Twice as long, Thrice as bright
