I mainly play PvE, so life support works better for me, especially during Taken Zealots. If I take each shot for precision, there's no point in full auto (to me, I do terribly with full auto, which is why I don't use machine guns), plus the cocoon perk really comes in handy when I holster it for a quick second to nuke a major or take down a shield with my special, and then pull it out and it's reloaded (I do more hand-reloads when using FA). But it wouldn't matter one way or the other to me, because I can choose to not utilize the full auto perk. I actually forget that I can use that when I have the odd scout rifle that had it (Hygiea Noblesse was my jam in pre-TTK); it would surprise me when it kept firing when I wasn't shooting, and then that "oh yeah" would dawn, and I'd promptly forget again 3 minutes later because I don't use it anyway, lol.
