So Halo 5 is Out and Despite it Being Good, Destiny Still Lives
So much for the theory halo would end destiny. Guess the ones who posted about it were wrong. We all knew they were though didn't we
Edit: so a little mishap occured. Its been out for 15 hours where I live but I hear that in America it still hasn't been released. My bad
Edit 2: So here's something a little interesting. Instead of reading all of the bitching we do you can now go to the halo 5 forums. They aren't too happy over there atm. Hope they sort it out

3 RepliesLol if you have spent any time on this forum, you would know that the little bit of complaining on the halo forum is nothing compared to the bitching and moaning done here on a daily basis lol. And no, bungie hasn't sorted it out here. We are in year 2 and they are still trying to figure out what light level system works better, introducing different currencies, constant nerfs and buffs to weapons, etc. it's like a big ol beta that they are making money from micro transactions lol

3 RepliesIt is definitely ending my Destiny career at least for awhile. I am primarily a PvP player, and Halo 5 offers balanced, competitive play, which is something Destiny won't ever be able to achieve due to the large number of weapons/armor/supers/abilities. I defeated Oryx (normal) once and it was a great feeling, but Destiny can easily feel like "work" as opposed to "fun". I just have zero desire to run the raid on normal multiple times to get good enough gear (If RNG allows it) to run the same raid with similar mechanics, but tougher enemies.

15 RepliesDestiny still lives, but its on life support. Its tired, its dull, its systems are pretentious, and disrespectful of intelligent players. Time locked garbage, repetitive grind, unrewarding raid loot, and completely horrible community interaction by a company that doesn't seem to know its ass from its elbow when it comes to fixing the games issues. Will H5 kill Destiny?...no, but its the opening salvo that will be followed by Fallout 4, Tomb Raider, Blops 3, and Battlefront. I know im telling it to piss off for a while so I can head to greener gaming pastures, and yes Halo 5 is the start of that. I love how some of you will try to knock Halo by pointing to its reviews, especially since Destiny was commonly getting 6's and 7's when it released. Sure, TTK improved the game a bit, but not nearly as much as some of you pretend it did.

Nah Halo is amazing! It's all fun and games in destiny till you hear Zavala say 'wither we wanted it or not' then it's like 'yea, fxck this'.

Even tho I'm good in pvp, destiny is so -blam!-ing stupid like literally just waiting for the new game so I can leave destiny for good. Too much -blam!-ing bug and so unbalanced really pisses me off.

Kind of hard for Halo 5 to kill Destiny when one game is a console exclusive and the other is a cross platform! I myself have been taking a Destiny break, especially with all the patching and nerfing to a lot of things that could have been left alone. Some good things have been fixed but in my honest opinion most "fixes" have been useless. For me personally, Metal Gear Solid 5 has killed Destiny......for now most likely! Have been playing since the beta and Destiny hasnt left my PS4 more then 5 times since release....that is until MGS5 finally showed up!

If Bungie keeps supporting this game as much as it has been lately, nothing is going to kill it. Sure, there'll be games that come out that are better than Destiny, but unless those games have several-year-long plans tied to them, Destiny is gonna stay alive and well.

So halo didn't instantly kill destiny ? Amazing, but really if it would happen it wouldn't be immediate and no one game will kill this one. Only the fickle nature of people, age and poor design will kill it. Saying because it didn't happen in one night however is very moronic.
