Cayde crossed his arms and looked offended by both blows and responded "I take that offensive you know" both responded in sorrow, "Sorry sir" "So guardians, what appears to be the problem?" He tilted his head and lowered his arms "Oh. Wow. What have you found out about it so far?" I was about to tell him about the Ketch but Specter cut me off "It has the House of Devils' emblem on the other side and we have not seen any kind of movement in or out of it and it looks like it has been here for a while because of the thin late of dirt on it. The Ketch must have been cloaked or something." Have you searched the area for tracks or something?" Cayde asked. I responded "we ran into a group of fallen but that is it." "Have you gone inside?" "We were waiting for you." "Well let's get moving then, shall we?" Then Cayde held his hand up to his ear and looked away and he said into his comm link "whoa whoa whoa, slow down Zavala, what the hell is going on there!?" As soon as he finished his sentence we saw a massive explosion in the distance. The city. All of a sudden I get a transmission through my ghost, all the others get it too, "Attention all guardians, this is Ikora Ray of the city vanguard mic the city is under attack," we heard gunfire and yelling over the comms "all guardians report back to the tower as soon as possible, I repeat, we are under at...." The transmission was cut off with static. Cayde looked uneasy and pulled out his sparrow, Everyone else did the same. His sparrow was a light gray with the Ace of Spades on each side and on the front. "Let's get moving." He commanded. "What about the Ketch Cayde?" I asked. "We can come back to it later Rawson. The city is in danger." I turned to my team and they nodded. "Fine, lets go." ••• Getting back to the City was easy to follow because we all could see the column of smoke in the distance. Cayde's hunters all looked equally nervous while riding their sparrows. I was right in the middle of the group with Stacy on the left and Specter on my right. When we approached the was we could clearly see where it's attackers had entered, there was a huge hole between the west and north towers, the smoke from the explosion reaching up to the sky, like an arm reaching for dear life. Cayde held up a fist to signal us to stop. "Sparrows away guardians." We all obeyed and got off, Cayde unholstering his hand cannon, a pale white iron and on the side was the same Ace of Spades that was on his armor and his sparrow. I did the same and pulled out my cannon, Stacy loaded her rifle and Specter turned on his sniper. We were ready for whatever came at us when we went inside the wall, into the city. Cayde began to divide his hunters into 4 squads of 5. He decided to stick with us. He assigned each group to go to each direction on the main road when we enter, our group was assigned to go to the tower and see its status. From our position we could hear a lot of gunfire in the direction of the tower. Stacy heard it too "we should head that way." She points to the tower. "Agreed." Cayde responds. We start towards the tower. We walked for a few minutes and we are within a mile of the tower when we hear fallen skiffs coming closer "spread out and hide." We split and I find a hiding spot in an empty alley between two buildings, Stacy finds another alley across the street from me with Specter, and Cayde joins me. The skiff passes over us and makes its way towards the tower. Cayde motions us to peek out of our alleys "is it clear?" Stacy leans out with her rifle slung across her chest, then she motions the all clear and we walk out of our alleys "We need to get to the tower guardians." Cayde suggests. We all nod our heads. ••• When we reached the tower, we could see a giant hole through the hangar doors at the base of the tower being defended by a group of guardians along with Zavala and Ikora fighting like I have never seen, nova bombs flying through the air, Wards of Dawn covering the doors, and Blade Dancers holding the front lines with their daggers of pure energy. On the other hand, the fallen did not seem to be faring well, groups of Captains with Dregs and Vandals, with Shanks suppressing the guardians. The fallen were dropping one by one, Ether flying from their bodies when bullets hit their heads and bodies. I hear a click next to me and look over to see what it is. Cayde was loading his iron, and then spun the weapon around his finger, then Stacy turns off the safety on her rifle and Specter turns on the scope on his sniper. I pulled out my own hardware, the elegant beauty of the weapon my father had called "Hawkmoon". You could tell how he made the name because of the polished feathers etched into the side of the barrel. I pulled out a 13 round revolver magazine and slid it into the magazine slot and flicked my wrist, loading the magazine. "Let's show these fallen who own this tower." We snuck up behind a building that was just behind the fallen. "Specter, see if you can get a vantage point on top of this building." I recommended "alright sounds good Rawson." When I saw him reach the top, I could hear him cursing very loudly "We may have an issue, Cayde" that's not good "What is it." "I can see a lot of skiffs coming in our direction, at least 10 and they have tanks on them." We heard a massive crack in the air and the sky went dark for a few seconds. Specter looks over the roof and looks extremely grim and surprised "Our situation just got a WHOLE lot worse." "What is it Specter?" "They have another Ketch." End of Fireteam Callisto part 4.
