• They dont. They gave you 500 silver when it first came out. After that then you can buy more silver if you like.

    • It's purely cosmetic. If people want to pay for dances and actions, it's up to them and no way affects how the game is played. Bungie did give you 400 Silver.

They are not making you do anything. The emotes are cosmetic, and add to the game, but are not required to play it in any way shape or form. Not to mention you got enough free silver to buy 2 rare emotes for free if you chose to do so.

It's your. Voice to buy or not to buy however think on this you will be possibly be getting the free DLC this year that the micro transactions are funding So if you would have spent 20 dollars on a One DLC you get the other for free Edited:

        • It's fine for me to buy those emotes, but Bungie doesn't let me buy because I'm playing on a jpn account... A lot of us would want to buy, but no, bungie says no...

        • It's optional and cosmetic only. It has no bearing on the game itself, therefore it's up to each player to decide if it's worth it. Plus it's a good way to make money for Bungie, low cost with a high upside

        • They're not making anyone it is a personal choice

        • So if you keep up with the weekly updates you'd know that they are trying something different. They are going to see if they can supplement the income they'd receive from dlc with these optional micro transactions. Thus allowing the dlc to be free for the next year. Pretty great about paying for those dances now huh. And having the option NOT to and to still play the ENTIRE game. Be careful how you look at things. Sure. It looked pretty ugly at first but without the full story, you just get all worked up and pissed of for nothing.

        • They gave you 2 dances for free. Those who want to spend money on these completely optional things, are funding new DLC that will be free for everyone to play. Just sit back, let other people buy dances, and take your free DLC, and stop complaining.
