24 hours later and I am still in SHOCK!!!
While I slept my 3 year old son got up, turned on my ps4 and deleted my 307 Titan. A couple hundred hours in that character gone in the matter of a few seconds. I am really disappointed that Bungie has no way to restore characters or place a lock on them as it only take holding the square button for about 5 seconds to delete everything. That's a lot of time wasted and now I have to start from scratch.
The kicker, I deleted all my buffs so I can't start at 20 I have to start at 1. This is my fault he's 3 and doesn't really know what's he doing but it really is disheartening. Thought about hanging it up all together.
Edit: thanks for all the heartfelt and funny replies. Even one or two people questioning my parenting skills but hey this is the Destiny forum after all, that's to be expected.
Edit 2: thinking I 'used' the spark of light since people are saying you can't delete them. All I know is that they are no longer there.
Edit 3: contrary to popular belief I am not married and live alone unless my son stays with my. My story is true, my ps4 was in rest mode so when he started it up destiny was already loaded, he pressed x to get to the character select screen and help down square long enough to delete the character. It happened.
Edit 4: someone implied that I was a bad father! I RESEMBLE THAT statement! *sobs uncontrollably*.
