There needs to be other ways to get better gear. It's like bungie is doing the same thing they did when VoG first came out.
EDIT: I realize you can get gear that's slightly over 300 from the nightfall but you have a chance to get one piece of gear that might be over 300 once per character per week. Not exactly the same thing. Plus I don't think anyone has gotten anything over 310 from the nightfall. Also trials gear is still unconfirmed. Idk why everyone is just making assumptions since they dropped IB all the way down to 280
EDIT 2: For people asking why someone who doesn't raid would want better gear, Trials and IB are important to some people. I personally enjoy the raid but there are people that play crucible almost exclusively. Also I'm talking about getting to 310 and 320 not just 304 or 305 like some people are saying.
EDIT 3: I'm not talking about bungie handing it out as so many people seem to think. All I'm saying is that end game pvp content like trials and IB should give you max light like they used to in year one after everyone complained that IB gear was below max light much like it is right now

I want to go to the lighthouse, but I suck at trials. Give me different way to get the lighthouse.
-
end game content... Do you understand what that means?
-
Edited by Ne0nK0ala: 10/29/2015 8:47:42 PMNightfall can get you 310, there's no need being any higher unless you run the raid, if everything else got shit the raid would be pointless, it's the centrepiece to the whole dlc, that should never happen.
-
The more people who can get high end gear via more pathways (not just having to raid. Have PVP and Solo options too) the more people will play the game and stick around because you are catering to a wider audience. Kinda makes sense...
-
I have done 4 nightfalls since the buff and have had no lower than a 303 drop for me... So you can get to 310 or almost with out the raid. I am so close to 306 and will most likely jump to 307 when I get a better Titan mark and I have 1 normal raid completion and 1 failed attempt right when the raid launched.
-
Do you even VoG bro?
-
I was 305 before ever touching the raid. 310 exotic sword, 306 ghost shell from NF put me to 300. Decrypt exotic engrams, hope for 310, infuse away.

Trials
-
Is the way it should be
-
Other than trials and IB, you have no reason to be 300+ but if that's the case you can get over 300 light from nightfalls and exotics.
-
I've got a 306 warlock and I've never set foot in the raid. Got a sword and a 310 ghost from the nightfall last week and I just went exotic engrams farming. It's all ring. Welcome to destiny.

Exotics
-
It's also the only thing that requires 300+ gear, so no, it isn't a problem.
-
If you don't raid you don't need to be 300 light.
-
If you don't raid then you have no reason to be 300+
-
The problem is you expect a game centered around raiding with a side of pvp for fun, to cater to the minority.
-
This this right here
-
Trials and IB should be available as a solo player option.

Edited by antoniosx03: 10/29/2015 6:14:20 PMJust wait it out you will eventually be able to get higher lvl gear
-
You do the raid to get better gear to do the raid. Why do people still not understand this flow?
-
nightfall is 300+
-
As long as you can get to 300 exotics is by far the easiest way. Everyone should have started to save their exotics from the first moment they heard they will be 310 at 300 light. ☺ have helmet chest and gloves 310 on 2 toons and a few 2-3 a pair for possible infusion of new pieces
-
I got a 305 Titan chest plate from a nightfall
-
Dude the difference between 290 light and 310 light is very minimal when it comes to iron banner so what does it matter?
-
As others have said: NIghtfall. Get three characters to 290+ and you're set.
-
From my experience, the Raid is the only time you need that much light. I can't speak for Trials, because I don't really play it. Iron Banner didn't seem to hurt my Titan much against higher players.
