Before I begin, I would like to say this isn't my video (the person who discovered this is Bradley Freakin, and this is his video), but stick around because what you're about to see will astound you.
So, we all know that Bungie said that the King's Fall raid would not end with "hard mode" (a.k.a there will most probably be another difficulty).
In the video, a new location in the raid is discovered - most likely an upcoming location in the new raid difficulty that is rumoured to be on its way.
You'll notice that it's almost identical to the ship jumping puzzle in the vanilla raid, with a few tweaks to aesthetics. This hints that maybe the new difficult isn't just a harder version of the raid - maybe the whole raid changes.
We all know Bungie have said the basketball arena was just an Easter egg, but do you honestly believe that? I mean, to go to the effort to add something like that into the raid, and make it a trek to get there in the first place, must mean that it had a purpose. Could it be related to this new area and/or the new raid difficulty?
At the end of the video, a MAC cannon is also discovered hidden underground. Firstly, what's it doing on the Dreadnaught? And secondly, what's it doing underground?
So many questions, so little answers. What do you guys think? Share your thought in the comments below, and don't forget to upvote, favourite and bump for the whole community to lay eyes upon this post!

interesting.

Bump, possibly where we would have rescued Rasputin before Activision decided to cut it.
-
Interesting. I'm assuming it's a ship and you get shot at by that cannon and another on the other side.
-
Looks like a nod to Alien.
-
Bump. Nice find!!
-
Great, more content blocked behind a pay wall
-
More cut content
-
What if this is challenge mode raid
-
Gaaarry! Ohhh Gaaarry!
-
Stop beating a dead horse
-
Cut content
-
Bump 4 later

This could be just a partially unloaded version of portico or a left over of a build The real find here however is the MAC Cannon. Could be in reference to halo reach or just a normal Easter egg
-
With all the random content that people keep finding, I'm surprised they haven't just made "MAC Cannon DLC" or "Basketball Court of Oryx" DLC.
-
Possible that it was originally part of the raid but wasn't developed further or it was removed entirely. Considering they had almost a year between raids, it could really be anything at this point. A lot of glitched areas like this turn out to be absolutely nothing
-
Lol more pathetic time locked content
-
reported for copy/paste
-
Seriously just looks like scrapped content that they put under the floor of the map. Maybe they put the cannon there for all the glitchers to see & speculate about trololol
-
fer a low price of 60$ :D
-
I already know how to activate all of that content! It's so easy. You ready? 10,000 silver. Ta-da!
-
It could just be an easter egg. I hope so because that means the Bungie I remember is still somewhere out there

Edited by Roe Larry: 10/26/2015 1:51:45 PMIt's just map art, easter egg, or cut content.
-
Where is the B Ball court?
-
Most likely cut content that was from the past storylines of destiny.

Pretty damn cool

Edited by Azuro_Arcanis: 10/26/2015 2:06:49 PMAfter watching the vid, I've got a couple guesses. 1. It was an area made for an early build of the raid. If you pay attention, when your going up the lift at the end of the tombship puzzle, you get transitioned to another area partway up. Maybe this area was more directly attached, but at some point in development they realized this was gonna work the way they wanted, so they shelved it. Rather than delete it, they just built the new area and changed how the lift linked. This way if they want to use the area it's already in the game. 2. Its a partial build of an area to be used in future content, probably a later DLC. The cannon is an object they started to work on, and have it tucked away outside the 'accesible' area of the, map.
