I'm getting tired of Destiny, but I dont want to
Just for the record, I do like the game, this post is not meant to complain.
I just don't agree with everything they have done post-ttk
its a concern we should discuss and made aware of, so we can get a even better game in the end
The more and more i play TTK, the more i get tired of the game.
every damn drop is 26x or 27x, why bother decoding, there is nothing that i can use.
drop rates/rewards are terrible.
only endgame is the raid. (the only place to get higher rated items for infusion)
exotics locked away with too hard quests. (crucible quest, insane Black Spindle)
unlimited grinding. light level on weapons, forcing me to use my highest rated weapons.
looks like the loot system is broken to me. no way Bungie would make it so time consuming/grind to only get low level or the same gear over and over till you had enough and are just pissed off, no game should make you feel like you are losing
but heres the thing, I'm not actually bored of the game it self. but i get fed up at the loot/drop that i feel no reward/winning or progression.
that makes we want to give up.
and there is content that i will never get because its locked behind a unreachable mode i cant do,(not talking about Raids) and that again makes me feel like im losing, and i hate not going to do Destiny 100%

I agree crucible quests are geared towards the people who drift from game to game for pvp only, and though it may seem simple to them I can't play that fast. Also Time locking content is wrong. I have about 15 weapons I really want to enjoy but can't use endgame because of lack of infusion options so I am trapped using only my same 3 guns in everything. And now weapon parts and coins are nonexistent. [b]Tonight I will be playing a game other than Destiny for the first time since Destiny[/b] I am going to start Halo 5 and only log on for Arms Day, Nightfall, and Raids.

Basically leaving it to the hard mode raid to get to 320. So there's going to be a ton of people stuck at 315 and such. I really feel like the game was fun for the first few weeks but they made it to easy to get exotics. When year one was here it took a long time to get all the exotics... Now it takes 1 week of grinding 3oc. I literally already feel like logging only for the raid and only for nightfalls, because I already have most exotics from 3oc. Xur isn't even exciting anymore because he sells 280s and I just blow my coins on 3oc. Game is going to die out at this rate. I can see my friends list. Slowly moving towards other games and ttk has only been out for a month.

Signed. I find myself sitting here waiting for Iron Banner to come around and give me something new to strive for. If the previous raids and strikes and PoE were made valid, that would be something. Btu those are now old and stale.

I truly am feeling the EXACT same way as you are and it's a shame because I used to look forward to playing. I'm still using the same auto rifle I've had since week 1, it's sooo boring and I've done 1 nightfall since release and I used to do it 3 x a week, used to raid 3 x a week. It's only been 1 month and I almost done with the exotic sword quest! So worth it

I can only play for 2-3 hours twice a week and one session of about 4-5 hours and I seem to make steady progress constantly. Will be hitting 300 on my next play but doubt I will have the to find a fireteam and do hm so doubt I'm gonna get much higher

There really is no more grind since you can just buy everything with legendary marks and power level your gear with motes of light. But I will agree with you on one thing.... Absolutely no game should make you feel like you are loosing. I hate when a game gets me too loose.

3 RepliesWhat I find amazing is pre-TTK every single post like this would see the same comments: "bye Felicia" "good riddance" "delete your characters" etc. but now, I see more and more "I'm getting bored" or "I'm leaving posts" getting people who agree with them. Seems like the community is equally burned out and bored with TTK as a whole.

This is exactly how I feel. I quit last Thursday after a whole week of garbage drops from nightfall/raid. Grind like hell, 6-7 raid completions, and the best I can muster is a 305 light level. Garbage...

I agree, the grind is getting boarding as hell now. just want to have fun and not worry about being a high light level. cant wait for no man's sky so I can forget it.

I'd like to see some major world type events...things that transform the landscape and shift power on certain planets. Major fallen/cabal/taken/vex offensives on planets they're not usually seen on. Battles over the course of weeks that require all guardians to participate to drive them away.

Hopefully Bungie, Deej, and the staff read whats going on in their forum with all these posts, it isnt just a here and there thing, I flip through the forum often seeing more cases of burnout and boredom. I still enjoy the game but it seems theres a epidemic of gamers who are struggling to stay involved. Hopefully all those at the company will take note and make this next dlc which I would think "should" be coming by the end of the year and make it less about versing one another and add a bunch of quests to keep people their community of fans interested.

7 RepliesYou have to understand that Bungie needs to create content that will keep everyone interested. Those who invest a lot of time, those who invest little. Also there are those who just play for fun and giggle, and then there are those who are very serious about it and want to be challenged. This is a common issue for the entired gaming industry. You simply can't make everyone happy, so you compromise which potentialy makes nobody happy (I dont think this is the case in Destiny) I think we as players just have to realize what our role is, and don't get worked up over content that is probably not designed for our type. I.e. feeling that Black Spindle quest is too hard. I like a good challenge, but I've also seen a decline in the hours I invest in gaming, and thus im experiencing other issues. But I'm thankful that I've been on both sides of the fence, cause it allows we to understand the full picture, and that makes you appriciate the gravity o what Bungie, or any game dev's, has to deal with.
