2 ps4's one network cant join same fireteam

So at one point we had 2 ps4's one with a primary and the other with no primary on it. We were able to join the same fireteam with no issues. Then we removed the main ps4 primary and i made it my primary and my son made the second one his primary. After that was done every time we tried to join together it would take out the internet in the house causing the router to reboot. So ive read many things saying its Sony problem and possible solutions of which I've tried all. I've even reverted the systems to the way they were before and no luck. Hoping somebody might have something else i might have overlooked that could work. Would love to get it working again without having to get another internet connection at the house. Me and the misses like to play together as she sometimes needs help and the kids use to help us when ever we ran into issues's. Thanks for your time.

  • I'm gonna guess you were lucky it worked originally. I had similar issues with multiple PS4s and xbox ones on the same network, in the end i permanently fixed any issues by getting a better router. To put it simply, my old router just couldn't handle multiples of the same console trying to route traffic traffic using the same ports. I ended up switching to an Asus RT-N66U Dark Knight router and I've not had an issue since
