We know very little about them. Besides the fact that they were powerful, and hunted to extinction because of their power to grant wishes. I'm not entirely convinced they were all hunted. I believe that there is at least one left. Somewhere. Deep in the content that was stripped from us.
I personally would like to see it as a raid.
maybe have us fight all of the other races that are all after the Ahamkaras wish...
At the end of each encounter, the Ahamkara itself will grant us a chest. (Chance at raid gear) As trouble for our trials.
Then at the end, we fight, and kill it.
Plot twist! We try to. When it's health gets to a certain amount (near death)
It disappears, and grants us our wish.
The wish being whatever "Bungie" decides. Raid gear, obviously. Along with exotic chances.
But we should have different encounters each week like in PoE. Just to keep it "somewhat" fresh.
I've had this idea since year 1.
I fell in love with the Ahamkara theme.
The raid gear would be feathery, scaly, or boney. Or a mix. Maybe character specific? I'd love to get some feedback. Whether you agree or disagree. Tell me what you would change.

I thought there would be a huge maggot boss in ttk strikes where you have to shoot its eyes as it crawls through the walls

Ahamkara would not make a good raid. Killing the speaker is where it's at. That dude is total Sith Lord. Imagine taking on waves of guardians to get to him. Doing space battles in your useless ship. You have to platform around the tower. Using the useless postmaster robot to beat him to death. At the end you take of the ridiculous helmet and reveal that it was Deej the whole time! After your 20th time you finally get a raid drop and three moldering shards.

Ahamkaras are extinct in destiny, the vanguard thought they were dangerous and people started hunting them down I extinction
-
Ahamkara raid boss.
-
How can you kill something that we killed off to extinction? I'd rather kill some of the dragons on venus
-
They are extinct
-
We've had feathery, scaly, and bony gear for a while. I'd prefer if we got fleshy gear that made us look like Collectors from Mass Effect or Flood from Halo.
-
I was hoping this would have been the raid boss for the HoW raid that never happened. You can occasionally see one flying above Venus, os maybe that final fight would be up on top of the Citadel?

Okay! Okay! I got another original one. This ones a genius idea. What IF there were seven balls, each of them had a star on them marking the number they represent. Let's say in this raid you must collect them all. Following me? At the end when you have all seven you can summon the dragon, let's name him Shenron cause that's Chinese, and he grants you one wish. Boom, mind blown.

I asked my wife for a cool name and she ended up hijacking the computer to make her own instead. There's ahm kara in crucible map Shores of time, some times u can see them

Great idea, but should be the pilot raid for the next game that is next gen only. That way it's not held back but old hardware and be epic.

Make an Ahamkara fly over you when you first step onto earth after you heard a distress signal from an unkown guardian. It flies down and says to you that it needs help. you then go on a seeies of fetch and bring back quests for the ahamkara, and in return it will grant you any wish you desire. You will have a choice of any exotic the ahamkara has (i.e. exotics obtainable only by him) and you can only get one wish (but there is a hidden quest for a secret exotic)

We shouldn't kill it instead we should either capture it OR Fight it's like spirit. Say there's bones in a cave but the essence of the Ahkmara still lingers and awakens to try and banish you from its home. Imagine raid gear out of bones of the Ahkmara not only on your arms but everywhere. And maybe a special sparrow with Ahkmara wings that lets you glide for a short time.

What if they were the dragons flying armour Venus
-
What if you only got one major chest at the end. and only one person in the raid group and get it at a time. But the chest would not have RNG. Each character can open it once. I know it sounds tedious, but you get a choice for raid gear and exotics. Trade off!

The DLC should consist of getting its DNA from a mosquito that was sealed in tree sap. Recreating it in a test tube and then opening a theme park for the masses to see. Lou and behold on escapes the park facilities and now we must hunt it down before it kills all of the park civilians. #originalidea.

They are dragons :P
-
We should be able to wear its wings.
-
Yesss
-
This should be a dlc
-
Why would we want to kill an extinct creature
-
A theory could be that they lurk in the towers high above Venus and you can even see some strange winged creatures
