So we have proved once again that we always find the easiest way guys.
1. Weaken all four ogres but let them all go to middle
2. Once guy has relic go to top deathsinger platform across from oryx and stun him
3. Finish your ogres and drop into bombs. Because ogres didn't die earlier the knights and add sets don't even spawn until right as you're all 4 dropping in to detonate... Profit.. Easier than normal mode
Not me who came up with it already forget the guy's name but it's on the forums now take a peak he has video
Note: "not a cheese or not" argument thread stop making it one.

Again you don't know the difference between cheese and strategy
-
its not a cheese and in many ways this seems harder than the normal method.

Edited by Appell: 10/25/2015 10:30:05 PMWe did this a few times today and had some strange inconsistencies with orb detonation, a few times we detonated the orbs perfectly but did like 1 orbs worth of damage to Oryx. We weren't killing the Vessel so i'm assuming that had something to do with it. Called the raid early because people had to go but honestly i found the normal way much more consistent (and successful). Edit: Definitely not a cheese imo, just an alternate way to do the fight.

It is not a cheese! It is simply killing things a couple seconds after the normal time!
-
This is not a cheese... it's a simple strategy...
Note: not a cheese or not argument thread stop making it one.
Then take cheese out of the title? https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/166595787/0/0 Was the original start and bungie even replied.

Not a cheese

I do wonder if the strat can be improved further by killing 1 ogre per side? There would be 1 knight and a few ads but there would be 2 people to clear them. This would also mean less of a chance and being killed by an ogre going to the platforms and only a single ogre to kill after the oryx stun. It would also ensure the bombs wouldn't be too close together. I'm at work so i can't try this but i'm curious how it would turn out. This is no more of a cheese than standing in the middle on crota. The only thing different is choosing when to take out ogres.

The Middle Bubble Strategy is easier: you assign 4 to the platforms, a titan in the middle between the daughters' pillars with a weapons of light bubble, or blessing if they have ToM, and your relic runner. When the ogre's spawn, the two on add duty (The titan and the platformer whos not on his platform for that round) help focus fire on the ogres as they spawn while the platformers also help kill their ogre and then snipe their light eaters across from them. When runner gets the relic, everyone meets in the middle, kills the Vessel Knight, kills the last light eater (Runner should have the relic before the 4th ogre is dead) and stagger Oryx/ detonate bombs as normal. Doing it this way helps down the ogre's a lot faster because you always have at least 3 players shooting at each ogre and all but guarantees they'll drop in the back corners away from adds. And even if you don't kill the last light eater (it is a pretty small timeframe to do a lot) It just adds one more round in total. Much easier than going through the hoops to avoid the knights.

It's a cheesy strat.
-
OP says "Easier than Normal"....yet I bet it takes him more than one attempt.
-
Makes thread calling out cheese, then edits stating "not a cheese" hrmmmm....
-
It does matter how you call it. Your topic is wrong. IT'S NO CHEESE!
-
Not a cheese a strategy
-
I heard about this, its best to just keep it to yourself though. Lord knows bunge will fix it now

Edited by Crying Hail: 10/26/2015 1:51:36 PMYou know a cheese in my eyes is using glitches or methods that do not require as much effort and makes it simpler to kill the main focus of the raid. They still stand on platforms, they still kill ogres, they still grab relic, they still shoot oryx, they still do every section they just made easier on them by worrying on ads less
-
This is honestly a lot more difficult than it sounds, I had a team try it and it is harder than you think.
-
4+3 is 7 12-5 is 7 moral of the story there are always other ways of doing something, find your way.
-
That's not a cheese. It's a good strategy, and even bungie approves of it

I think "normal" way, kill ogres, kill knights is a bit easier. I think there is less risk dying and that's the most important in my opinion. I have to say we didn't beat hard raid yet due to time reasons or missing players. But that strategy with blessing of light on the middle, Titan (me) as main support and the other one where relic spawns worked fine for us. Nearly had him down yesterday evening, but the echo before last phase killed a buddy and we didn't had enough dps for last round ogres anymore. Crowd control is very important with this strat. One hunter should be on one of the both front platforms and one should be located on one at the back. As soon the runner grabs the relic "you can go down", hunters instant tethers front and back side. Before oryx hits the platform we killed most of the adds to have an easier life detonate the orbs. Relic runner and myself took care if this and this worked pretty good! Still some small mistakes, but I'm sure we solve them tonight and -blam!- Onyx up! Than I finally will get the PR at 320 light and Fire fly, biiiaaatch :D
-
We done this. Seeing as its ao easy in guessing you will have beaten oryx today with this lets see how easy this so caled cheese is for you.lol itts still fking hard
-
If you say it's not a cheese then why is it in the title?
-
This isn't a cheese. It's a strategy. Someone posted this method up on the forums Friday and Luke Smith commented on the vid saying that's a good strategy. Not a cheese. I feel like most of you here don't even know what a cheese is.
-
No solar grenades... no cheese lol

-
You say "I'm not calling it a cheese" but call it a cheese in the title...?
