Year 1 was a rough year for the sunsinger in the crucible (outside of ToO). It was almost always better to choose Voidwalker. But with the addition of the destructive force that is the Sunbreaker Titans, Sunsinger Warlocks have emerged as a hard counter.
Radiant skin allows the Warlock to tank a direct hammer, or a few nearby ones.
Glide allows for long air-time, making it hard for the Titan to hit their throw.
And any combination of two Fusion Grenades or melee attacks will shut down the Sunbreaker for good. This is compounded by the possibility for the Warlock to have two grenades and/or melees.
So, Warlocks, when you hear that clink off in the distance, don't fear. Pop Radiance and run towards it. Rush your prey and don't worry when the first hammer hits you. Pepper them with melee attacks and sticky grenades and they should be dead before they can throw their next one.
If you find yourself on the defensive then float around a bit, take advantage of your high recovery.
Personally, I'm a mediocre crucible player but I've been able to consistently kill two Sunbreakers in a single Radiance (most often in mayhem mode) and still have time for a nice spree.

Arc blade with max armour and a chest piece with arc armour can also tank a hammer. Wiped many teams with one arc blade just trying to get rid of a hammer of sol
-
Or just use a nova bomb...i would love to see a titan survive that
-
On the contrary, glide makes it much easier to hit warlocks out of the air because of the terribly slow movement speed. And sunsingers are not the only ones able to take a direct hammer. Stormtrance can, as well, if high armor is used.

Take two. Titan pips out of bubble with wol and ice breaker. One shots sunbreaker and continues to dance.
-
Defender pops out of bubble throws suppressor nade and dances in bubble.
-
Sunsinger was always better than voidwalker. Ridiculous melee and nades, and is a tanky som' bitch in his super.
-
Nightstalker, if used right. Shoot your arrow from afar. One hit kill, and it can stop their super.
-
Golden gun, two in the head and you know they're dead
-
Or you know, you could just blink bomb um .
-
Iv been taking them down with nova bombs pretty easy...

Stopped reading after first paragraph.. Why does no on give credit to how great Radiant Skin as in Y1 pvp? Easily the best super, for kills and armor.
-
They are a three burst headshot with the nirwens mercy haven't tried the villainy but it will probably do the same thing

I Like my void bow. But as a hunter I just get up in a titans face and jump and shade step around them. It's fun seeing them throw hammers wildly at you. Of course I'm throwing grenade and melee attacks. A gun with icarus helps too.

A nice Fist of Havoc will drop the curtain on a Sunbreaker quite nicely as well.

I'm in the top 5% K/D ratio (according to Destiny Tracker) and I main a Warlock. I have been trying to do the Sunsinger quest and it seems near impossible with Sunbreakers in the game. Bungie's biggest mistake throughout all of their game development has got to be Sunbreakers and all they have to say about it is... "Indeed, we hear you. We’re looking at the data, as well. It’s too early to dig in and make any promises. We’ll talk more soon, once we get a full picture."... well I hope they hear us cause I won't be playing pvp till they change something. Everyone's strategy against Sunbreaker Titans has been "run away". Hammer of Sol is like giving 12 year olds a bottomless clip of tracking rockets. Where Sunsingers get a bunch of grenades that don't even kill in one throw unless you stick him perfectly with a fusion grenade. Until something is fixed... I'm out Bungie.

Personally, I feel as though Striker, Gold gun and Void walker are much better counters since they can one hit KO Sun breakers. But hey, you do you, am I right?
-
Sounds great but tread with caution. 1 good suncharge and maybe and extra hammer will snuff you out good. Especially if the Sunbreaker comes from above.
-
Striker/ Novabomb. Impossible to survive that without a Ward.

I've one shotted three warlocks out of radiance using a sunspot
