Just wondering.

Destiny producers want to get rid of primary elementals completely
-
Guys your not answering the OP! What is Mercury going to offer us in place of the adept weapons? Silver? A thank you card with no money in it? A fortune cookie with rng mechanics? Seal clubbing expedition? But seriously what is in return!
-
Hopefully not.

Never understood why elemental primaries dropped there in the first place, when they are for the PvE part of the game. Thats a part of Bungie's problem, can't keep the two play types separated. Elemental properties have no significance in PvP so, why drop there ?
-
It's a good thing it gives the game a challenge like being able to run through a nightfall with elemental primary easy. No burns harder more time consuming. It will make the game better, in my eyes
-
My only thought here, take it or leave it, is that elemental burns on nightfall are weighted far more in favor of the adds than the players if players do not have elemental primaries. Think about it. Arc burn week on a Fallen strike. Nearly every single enemy uses arc weapons and can kill me with one or two shots, but the only benefit I get from it is a stronger shotgun? Which I need to hope is high enough in light to use, has arc properties, and is actually a good weapon for this particular strike? Point being, burns help the player very little if we don't have elemental primaries. I use my special and heavy for very specific moments, I'm not gonna use rockets on a group of fallen captains or a knight. Maybe a bunch of yellow bars. Idk. I get them wanting to add variety so no one would use the exact same weapons, but if they want to do that they could just give us a way to add elements to whatever weapon we want.

Why would u need elemental primaries for pvp?
-
Luke Smith says that elemental primaries are being left behind. The reason for this is because elemental primaries made it to where people only used a select few primaries while there are a lot more out there. The only primary in the game right now with an elemental burn is the zhalo supercell.

Edited by RedFaceGeneral : 10/24/2015 12:14:20 PMMost probably. This means there will be adjustment to Lighthouse loot since Adept version doesn't carry element anymore, maybe exclusive exotic/Trials with different shader or improved stats. Either way I'm bumped, on one hand Luke Smith said no elemental primaries because they want me weapon variety usage but we Zhalo with arc damage. In every nightfall with arc burn, every players with zhalo will use that. Why not add a feature that allows us to add element into a weapon? Wouldn't this extend the longevity of the game??
-
if they dont drop elemental primaries in ToO, the whole incentive to get to the lighthouse is GONE...
-
How many people would have raged if they announced this pre-TTK. Sly little fox, Luke.
-
Good thing so you have a variety in PVE.
-
He is my thoughts on this. If this was yr one and alot of changes didnt happen and we was stuck with the new light values then no primary burns would really suck. Nightfalls where a chore if you didnt have the proper burns. Shields felt was super strong and over powered. Now with yr 2 out. Shields are ok. The go down still pretty quick and alot less shielded mobs at that. So as the way the game is as of right now. Im perfectly fine with no burns on primaries.
-
Why do people need elemental primary guns so bad? I personally have not needed them once during TTK. They are not a necessity.
-
Bungie- We is removin weapon burnz so yall use other gunz lel. What they actually mean-Hey everybody you gave us 40 dollars for this trash exspansion and were still cutting shit like a mother-blam!-a. Don't worry though our yes bitches on the forums says it's good so thats all that matters. For now head on down to Tess and buy all her shit emotes for a culmative price of 40 dollars when you'd only ever use one lel because we at bungie listen to the fans.
-
Edited by ubn: 10/24/2015 12:04:49 PMI love it actually. All raid prims except pr will serve as weapon parts and infusors.
-
It had better.
-
Yes none in trials, why do you need them in pvp?
-
To be fair, I hope so.
-
It means Luke Smith said they are being left behind, and no elemental primaries period.
-
Yeah and that's a great thing
-
In the armoury they have none so most likely not
-
Don't believe so. If they don't drop where they're actually useful, PVE, why would they drop in trials? Apparently bungie thought primary elementals made the game too easy and predictable.
-
If they take burns out of primaries on trials I will be seriously -blam!-ing pissed right off
-
I damn well hope so. Would be stupid to completely gate them behind trials.
-
Yes. There will no longer be any elemental primaries from now on. Looks like Zhalo was the last one.
