Please implement Raid matchmaking! It's essential.
Dear Bungie staff,
Because there is no Raid matchmaking, I haven't played a Raid since before The Dark Below came out. Not that I don't want to!
I don't have five Destiny friends, and using LFG services is a frustrating and extremely time-consuming experience. I feel walled off from Raid content.
I actually switched to playing Final Fantasy XIV for a long time, because FFXIV implements Raid matchmaking and it provides a satisfactory and streamlined experience.
I would much rather accept the mixed bag of playing with randoms in Destiny than continue to deal with things as they are.
On the whole, I love Destiny and I'm looking forward to supporting the game's future releases. I'll be a much more active player, and much more likely to recommend the game to friends, if Matchmaking is implemented for the high-end content.

1 ReplyThere should be a way to find your group to do the raid yes. But asking for matchmaking is simply shortsighted. See, what you want is a faster way to find a group, matchmaking will get you a group, but the quality won't be anywhere as good and you'll probably be spending more time trying to do the raid then you would have getting the group. Problems include but aren't limited to: •Underlevels doing the raid. •AFKs •Problems organizing class balance (i.e. 6 Warlock's would struggle doing the kings fall raid) •Complications doing checkpoints •No communication which is essential if you want to do the raid in a reasonable amount of time •New people to the raid •Just plain stupid people A better option would be an in-game LFG. This allows people to not leave the game while not compromising time or efficiency.
