Kings Fall drops are incredible!
Oryx takes 20 moldering shards and just gives you 2 back! This is especially exciting if all the other bosses drop shards as well!
Who needs a helmet when you can just get shards? Bungie is awesome! I can't wait to play it next week and trade my other 20 shards for 2 again:D
Edit, just completed Kings Fall for the 2nd time this week on my Hunter. Oryx took [b]ANOTHER 20 moldering shards and gave me back 2[/b], I cannot believe this incredible luck! I'm on a streak here. Can't wait to play the warlock and do another trade!
Edit2: Some people are confused, and don't realize Oryx gives out only 2 moldering shards [b][i]much of the time, no matter if you have 20+ moldering shards in your inventory already[/i][/b]. Personally, this is horribly irritating and frustrating, as it's now been almost a month and still no helmet on my main. But whatever I choose to not be negative. It's not like Bungie is going to change anything!
Edit3: I did my Warlock up to daughters. Got nothing but shards up till then! The random we picked up from LFG was an idiot, and kept getting taken and wiping us, so we kicked him and called it till tonight. But I am eagerly anticipating my 20 for 2 shard Oryx trade!!!!!!
Edit4: I actually got 2 shards for 20 for the 3rd time in a row from Oryx this week. Im now pissed. I'm done. -blam!- off Bungie. This shit is stupid. These shards are worthless!
Edit5: -blam!- Bungie in their stupid asses. 4 raids in a row where oryx takes 20 shards and gives me two back? Unbelievable.
Edit6: I got absolutely nothing from killing Oryx on Heroic. So we're guaranteed a drop from the HM loot table but [b]nothing[/b] is an option? Seriously?

Eris needs a store that sells raid gear for shards... and maybe special tokens that bosses drop. That way you still have to beat oryx for primaries and helmets.... and warpriest/golgorroth would drop the same tokens for heavies, secondaries, and other armors. Also to encourage more runs eris. Could sell an exotic Engram that rotates type for 2 boss tokens and an oryx token and like 30 shards. Just an idea.

The moldering shards don't give more shards. The shards were from oryx. The spent shards give you something from another part of the raid.

I completed the oryx fight last week with 20 moldering shards and got three different weapon drop. Seems to be working for me.

Oryx guarantees nothing. 20 moldering shards guarantees at least 2 shards. Getting only shards while having 20+ shards means, oryx dropped you nothing, the shards gave you shards, and, you got the shaft from RNG.

Same shit happened to me. For my time beating oryx I end up losing 18 shards. WTF is this BS?!?!

Rewards are dropping nothing but duplicates over and over. Examples: Raid 2 weeks ago: Oryx: warlock 2 auto rifles, Titan 2 auto rifles, hunter 2 fkin auto rifles Raid last week: Oryx: took 20 shards and gave 2 shards only on all characters This week: Oryx: hereafter on all 3 characters It's broken and they don't want to admit it.

1 ReplyThe Loot/rng system in Destiny is a huge flag. quitting and not buying any Bungie games might be a good idea. Bungie does not care that our time is being wasted.
