Just a lil guide for quick faction lv up using materials and currency. First I'm gonna say seasoned players may very we'll be aware of these methods and this topic is aimed at the casuals and newbies to destiny. 1. Save your motes of light. These may seem to be the quickest boost to your faction level, in fact they're pretty useless to it for now anyway. 2. Strange coins, these are by far the quickest source of faction rep/lv gains in the game at the moment, save them up on a weekly basis and purchase heavy ammo synths from xur, yes you may feel the urge to splash out on three of coins I personally don't. Strange coins comparison to motes: 1 strange coin (3 heavy synth) without exotic class item is worth 75 rep. For motes we'll need 5 per transaction and they're worth 100 rep without class item. So 5 strange coins (15 heavy synths) are worth a whopping 375 rep that's nearly 4x the motes value for rep. Say if you saved weekly strange coins like I do from bountys crucible strikes etc you should average about 100 - 200 per week ( based off my experience) you should level your faction about 5 times, if your running three characters daily you may average about 10 a week. I haven't even added the rep from bountys, strikes and crucible. Also variks is a good source of heavy ammo synths, max glimmer and 100 ether seeds all get you one level for your faction.
