Very little is as frustrating as losing when my team has a bunch of players with 2.0 kdr and zero caps. People who do this are scrubs in every sense of the word
Edit: seems the only objections are people who bring up cases of mismatched teams.
If you think arguing that since ultimately all points are based on kills so that justifies not capping, congratulations you are a terrible teammate. Since you refuse to help get a TEAM score multiplier, you place a heavier burden on your teammates to make up the difference. Being a good teammate is not about how many kills you can get, it's about how easy you make it for your teammates to succeed also.
I also would like the idea of regular control being iron banner only
Edit again because people can't read. Stop saying things about mismatched teams and one guy getting more than 1/6 of the points as though this absolves them of the responsibility of a good teammate. Also, my first sentence of the original post specifically said "losing". Stop saying things like because you get 30 kills and zero caps and win that proves me wrong. Or that you defend points to help win. NOT WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.

People with no KD act like KD isn't everything.
-
You need exactly zero captures as a team to win. We do it all the time. If you play the objective in control you lose plain and simple. Plus your Kd is crap trying to capture.

Heres a link to the last game i played today. I have 0 caps and you don't want me as a teammate because i'm a true scrub. I'ts cool, i don't want you as my teammate. Let's just agree to hate each others guts. While i'm off stopping the enemy team from getting heavy ammo to shit on you and that circle youre standing in... Stand firm!. Watch the percentage of the circle rise alongside your feeling of accomplishment.. Wait, isn't that team work? Nah. Yeah? Maybe... Anyways.. Keep standing in circles droopin those neg bomb scores and telling yourself and whoever will sympathize it's everyone elses fault. That'll show em and make you feel better. Seriously i hate your guts. :)

Control's not an objective-based gamemode. Yes, it features objectives. No, that doesn't mean it's based on them. Besides, it's still possible to win when the enemy has total control.
-
In a normal match i would get 20+ kills and 0 caps and have a guy get 0 kills and 10 caps

I hear you loud and clear but playing Zone Control would be the right playlist for you and not Control. Zone Control is based on how many zones you control and you rack up points that way. Nothing else. Control is based on K/D and a little bit of controlling zones.
-
You sure it's not you that's feeding the enemy team kills always running to B aimlessly? It's not domination
-
Yep. Pussies that are trying to boost their kd
-
how come a 'bunch of players with 2.0+ k/d' are not able to cap and hold two zones?
-
I like camping on the zone closest to our spawn alot of 1 on 1 battles unless my team fails an they get past the middle spawn
-
I never cap and I win more games than you who cap all the time
-
Capturing is for losers. Just kill.

Edited by Blank: 10/1/2015 10:12:24 PMDo you understand how control works? The people getting kills are the ones carrying you, if you can't cap a zone yourself when your team mate goes ahead and for example clears the enemies before they can even touch B..combine this with your inability to get kills and every death you receive rewards the enemy team.. Well you are the problem.
-
What? Since when? I thought it was just a mode I could stay on the edges of the map so I could pad my kd! Dammit Bungie! You have to let us know these things!
-
You can win a game without a single point capped. Trust me, we used to do it in our clan for fun.
-
All points being based on kills does NOT justify not capping. But it DOES justify not capping during a hectic firefight that you probably won't win.
-
PTFO or GTFO.
-
If only they were like Halo, objectives that people ACTUALLY follow.

Or you could find some friends to play with and play how you want to play. What you're doing here is just a waste of breath.

Edited by Catavari: 10/1/2015 11:18:19 PMUnless control has changed with TTK, each point controlled adds only 50 additional points to the kill. So, one kill goes from 100/110 (if precision) to 150/160 with one point capped with an additional 50 points when your team successfully controls two points when the kill occurs. I think we can agree that capping zones alone in control (75 points earned for each team member who captured the zone) is not an effective way to win the game... nor would trying to kill everyone on the opposing team without any points capped be very successful (the vast majority of the time). It requires a balance of capping points, maintaining control of those points and killing enemies - while controlling where they spawn so they don't flip on you and mess up the rhythm. My beef with control (and IB) by relation) was that dang bounty asking you to cap 10 (or some number) of zones, because there are some people who just run around trying to cap 6 to 10 zones in a single game to complete the bounty - causing weird spawn flips, and leading to potential losses - than using sound tactics and winning the game with a smaller number of caps towards the bounty. EDIT: And by balance, I mean a team where some people cap, others defend and others hunt - all of those roles are important in control. Now, Zone Control is a completely different animal - and quite frankly I find it long and not as interesting.

No... Control Is so I can get an extra 2000 points added to my overall score whenever I get my average +35 kills per match + more xp unlike Clash. :)
jk
That's why I play rift now
-
I'm sorry do wins in normal control give you better loot when you win? No? Bitch about something that matters.
-
I'd rather have a guy on my teams that goes 20 and 10 with zero caps. Than a guy that goes 10 and 20 with 6 caps. Or 7.. or 8..
