*Actual Infusion Rates*

After last nights Black Spindle shenanigans, I think I have figured out at least one variable to the infusion rate. A lot of people were infusing their 310 Black Spindle into a variety of guns, and from what I can tell... -If an EXOTIC is infused into another EXOTIC, it resulted in a 70% infusion rate (ie, 310 Black Spindle into my 300 Telesto = 307 Telesto) -If an EXOTIC is infused into a LEGENDARY, it resulted in 80% infusion rate (ie, 310 Black Spindle into a 300 100-Yard Stare = 308 1000-Yard Stare). The one variable I'm also curious about is if a leveled weapon as infusion has an effect. My Black Spindle was completely unleveled... so curious if a fully leveled Black Spindle into another exotic resulted in a higher infusion rate. Any of you have more examples of this?

  • I have found it is difference x 0.71 round up to next whole number. If the item being used is leveled then it gives you more.

  • Bump to make it clear that I'm not purporting KNOW the actual infusion rates, but rather have a discussion with other players about FIGURING OUT the actual infusion rates... I clearly offended some people...

      • Got a little more data that could use anyone else's anecdotal support... It seems like the infusion rates are simply for EXOTIC or LEGENDARY gear to BE infused... it seems like the item you're using to infuse WITH is irrelevant... Also, it seems like exotics will not infuse to 100% rate even if they're within 5pts. So the new data suggests: Exotic infusion greater than ~5pts produces 70% upgrade Exotic infusion less than ~5pts produces 80% upgrade Compared to: Legendary infusion greater than ~5pts produces 80% upgrade Legendary infusion less than ~5pts produces 100% upgrade
