A funny thing happened to Black Spindle
Hello, Guardians.
Right this every minute, many of you are acquiring Black Spindle. Surprise!
Wouldn't you know it, there is a bug that is enabling some of these weapons to drop at 310 - that's 20 points higher than intended. In the near future, we'll be releasing an update that will adjust the Black Spindle to match the attack rating for other Year Two Exotics.
It has also come to our attention that you are using this new acquisition to Infuse your other weapons. Good on you. Have fun with that. None of those weapons will be affected by this change - only the Spindle.

I tried 3 times and couldnt clear the last room. Bungie let the people keep it at 310. Its truly earned. This correction shouldnt be retroactive.

That's not cool. Your mistake shouldn't be at the expense of everyone who busted their ass to finish that mission. My fireteam tried about 7-8 times and failed every single time. The teams that got it, deserve a 310 exotic sniper rifle in my opinion.

3 RepliesAll you guys had to do was quickly infuse your 310 Spindle to some other special weapon that you like or to one you don't like and reinfuse that back into your (post patch)Spindle, problem solved for day one spindle owners

2 RepliesMost of us spent hours struggling through some of the most difficult content in the game to be appropriately rewarded with a 310 sniper. Now to turn around and say "oops we screwed up and were taking 20 light away" is a huge dick move. Leave current black spindles at 310 and make future drops 290.

It's a horrible way to deal with the situation, even more so because there has been no mention of making that insanity any easier. This whole fiasco has left a bad taste in my mouth. I like the gun though so I'll use it no matter what. Plus, everyone that has it will be making plans to just raise it back up as soon as they patch their "fix". Waste of Dev time and resources if you ask me.

I do not agree with punishing players with those who were rewarded with the weapon already but if this is the case and that infused weapons from the spindle won't be affected...then it sounds like I have some infusing to do.

11 RepliesThat's absolute garbage Deej!! I don't have it so it doesn't really effect me yet. Tho I highly planned on grinding for it the next time that mission is the daily. That daily is easily raid level difficulty and therefore the weapon should be of equal value to the missions difficulty. Why in the actual -blam!- would you make something so incredibly hard to get and then make it have trash stats!?!?! I have gotten blues that haven't been infused yet that ar better than 290. You guys need to stop with all these useless nerfs thar you are doing or just go to one type of rarity. That way you don't further pissed people off by turn their legendary or exotic comparable to a rare....... I swear it's almost like you guys want us to hate this game and stop playing.

Way to take away the REWARD [b][u]after[/u][/b] people have already taken the RISK; GG taking away the RETURN [b]after[/b] people have made the INVESTMENT. Way to breed MORE discontent and distrust in your brand. I understand the need to be the bearer of bad news, and I understand how important balance is in online games. However, after spending a roughly 8hours to get this "funny thing", I am not alone in thinking that your delivery is beyond insulting.

1 ReplyI've infused my 1000 yard stare with my 310 spindle. Bought another spindle at attack 300 and infused it to 307. Hopefully it's not effected.

Who else completed this on the first attempt? Was easy enough... 290 -310... Meh... Who cares... Drop it to 290 and it will give me something to work towards to get to 310 again... Will I be a bit upset, yes. Will I cry over it, no.

For those saying getting the black spindle was hard. It wasn't too hard to beat the mission in the alloted time. Literally the same mechanics of every other boss fight. Kill blights then adds focus on boss, a simple rinse and repeat method.

Wow. Why do people think this gun should be dropping at 310? The game barely just came out and already the raid is SUPER elitist, now add in that everyone needs black spindle and you've got yourself year 1 gally required for every group all over again. NO THANKS.
