Is it bad to still want ttk?
I'm personally against bungie's decision to cut content unless you buy ttk, but there's enough topics out there about that, I have a different question on mind.
While I'm against their decision I still enjoy playing destiny (although crucible is pretty much the only thing I play anymore) and would like to buy ttk. My question is for those that are against it, how long do you feel is an appropriate amount of time to wait before purchasing.
And for those that have bought it, now that it's been out for a little while and the raid has released, would you say that $40 is still a reasonable price range, or should I try and wait for a price drop.

I've been asking myself the same question, and I should be able to wait for a month or two, or until they at least acknowledge the problem and try to fix it.

To me 40 bucks is a little much...it honestly is worth it...but just barely...I think 30 would have been a much reasonable price. I waited until Saturday to buy. And after watching and reading many reviews honestly the pros out weighed the cons completely...honestly the only negative reviews are only here on these forums cause you know....these kids tears will never stop flowing. My opinion...worth the buy. But it's completely up to you :)

1 ReplyDepends on if your getting it just for the new PvP content. If that's the case then 40 is not worth it. However, if we are talking about both PvE and PvP content all together, 40 is most definitely worth it.

At the end of the day your decisions are you own and no one else's. If this game means hours of fun for you, along with your friends, than why not get it??? You know, I read and read posts on this forum, some are non-sense, very few are spot on. I do understand the frustration for some, but it is just a game, not some social move, or humanity changing what not. If you want to send a message, not continuing to invest in the game is all you need to do. Your wallet your money. If you feel you have something to relate to them in the form of feedback, this is the place too. Of course it's not bad to want TTK. It is fun, and a more complete experience than Y1 ever was. If anything YouTube is your friend. Plenty videos about Destiny to give you what you need for you to decide.

Still not worth it imo. Theres some shit they need to fix, but its still a wack game imo. Shouldve stuck with the $20 cause this shit aint worth 40.

They said loot drops were fixed, but they are limited and controlled so you get the same ones over and over until they decide to add more. When they add more am I going to have get more repeats before I get one of the recent ones added or will they be removed for a new set loot pool? I thought there would be a wide variety of old and new strikes. The old strikes would be changed with random spawns and taken. I saw a post today saying it's just a few new strikes repeated over and over. Not a fan of all the reused armor with faction branding. Most of the guns are worthless. I can't choose what cloak, mark, bond I want to wear. And most of the "new content" is just quests that make you repeat things you already did thousands of times before...I'll wait till destiny 2 or later. Unless they fix things quickly.

I love destiny, it has potential to be such a good game but they kept messing with it, I knew I was going to give TKK a shot when it was released, if you like destiny, buy it, it's refreshing and there is so much to do in it. Yes the weapons you worked hard for are getting left behind, but there are tons of new ones and so many new weapons to try out, the grind isn't even that bad, you get excited to see blue engrams again because they can potentially bring your legendaries stronger.

I was a strictly pvp player except raids and i now play pve 99% of the time if that answers your question

This shady practice you speak of isn't just limited to Bungivision, it is THE POINT of only-only games, to coerce consumers into continuing to pay to play. Shady, sure I think so. That said, TTK is worth $40 IMO, even considering I'm still salty there's no way to carry on with whatever items I wish. The new items are really good, and personally just comes down to aesthetics, the new raid stuff is only slightly better looking than the Crota stuff which I thought looked and smelled like a turd covered in burnt hair. Good thing the light from those items can be transferred to the new stuff I do like.

The price drop normally takes a while and I like the added content the biggest being the new subclasses. $40 is overpriced, but if you want it anytime soon I'd get it as I've enjoyed it. I don't agree with the lockouts either and there are things about TTK I don't like, but that's life. Just enjoy the positives as much as you can.

I played last night on the raid from a checkpoint a friend had and it was fun ( it was mostly the team I was with for our first vog run so getting back together was awesome ) it required teamwork and communication and some tactics for once . we didn't get past the warpriest but it was freaking fun. now ttk as a whole. swords , quests , variable strikes ( more on this in a minute ) , interesting subclasses , and mayhem ( hopefully added back soon oh my gawwwwwd I love mayhem.....hate PvP but love mayhem.) OK legendary sword leads to a quest to get a better sword .... yeah what's not to like. legendary sword has a shield mode that consumes ammo but still is cool as hell. quests oh my at the quests so many keep popping up I hear there is 110 total and some lead to exotic weapons and armor and some of those are pretty cool exotics. OK variable strikes it seems the taken has infiltrated all of destiny launch into any strike and think oh hell not this same old crap .... wait ! WHAT THE HELL ARE THE TAKEN DOING HERE OHHHHHH! SHIT ! [u][i][b]CHANGE !!!![/b][/i][/u] (lol) I hate the prohibitive mind strike ( black garden backwards ) its a pain well yeah even the taken can be found there but not all the time its setup random like so sometimes old school sometimes taken come for DAT ass lol now little things some hate the new marks system 200 per account ( this means if you have three guardians they share the marks ) I don't mind this at all since it will not be limited on how many you can earn. some say you can't earn them fast enough but I am only using my main ( hunter so far ) and since I am only using one toon I still earned over 300 close to 400 in the first week now imagine if I was using all three toons ...yeah marks galore man lol I play strikes, court of oryx , and any quest and then go do more strikes and patrol cause its fun to smash stuff with my sword super combo and the dreadnaught has lots to do .... can't believe I said something in destiny has depth ......(boom mind blown) you get marks from some quests , nightfall, heroic(only 3 times) , daily story, daily PvP , but that's only where it starts once you hit about 280 you start rolling in legendary and each of those give 3-5 ( if you level it up fully it gives more ) motes of light can force speed leveling ... yeah that's handy man I don't like PvP yet but mayhem is a light in the darkness for me just hope they make it permanently a playlist. most exotics now can be colored and that's sweet.... oh and some strikes drop specific armor from those bosses I got a cloak today from the void psyion on mars strike and so I added black shader and damn my hunter is sexy as hell hehehe gonna strut in the tower tonight man also seen darkblade knights skull on titans this morning .... OK that's damn kool kicked his ass and now wearing the bitches head as a helmet lmfao sweet! so obviously I like how the dlc is going I didn't like how dull destiny was even in the past two dlcs but this is a big step forward for this game and I honestly hope they keep progressing and not stumbling like they did at the start. any questions? just ask I'll try to help. edit: glad I spent $40 but this has been a huge gamble

It's ok at first but once you realize that you are once again grinding for weapons that'll be made obsolete again by next September....at the latest, you get bored quick and stop caring. I could be playing right now but......nah. No more useless grind for me. Not sure I'll ever even touch the raid. I just don't care anymore. People cry MMO all day but it's a game about collecting stuff. Once you figure out that they're just gonna take your toys away, the hunt loses its luster.

It's so worth the 40 bucks. I bought the collectors edition at 80 bucks and I still feal like im getting my money's worth. Everything has improved, you'd be a crazy person not to buy TTK at 40 bucks. . .seriously. it's twice the content. I've already put in a weeks worth and haven't scratched all the new stuff you can do.

BUY IT. NO SERIOUSLY BUY IT. I agree with you about he cut content thing, but with TTK? Destiny is incredible, IMO. The quests, new cutscenes, the dreadnought, court of oryx and the new gear and exotics are great. Without TTK though, you may s well just get rid of the game. They left year one behind and focused on year two.

It's not a bad thing to want to buy and play it. It's well worth the price. Get it if you want and don't let anyone put you down for it.
