Suros, Hakke or Omolon [POLL]
Which do you prefer?

As far as cosmetics go i find: Omolon Weapons very hard to look at at times (especially Snipers and Hand Cannons) because of how rectangular they are. the Scout Rifles and Fusion Rifles look good though. all of Omolon Weapons sound amazing when shot. Hakke Weapons i think more belong in CoD or Battlefield but i can see that bungie wanted to bring in a nice twist and give us a taste of golden age technology so i cant complain too much. Again with the Snipers though they are really thin and come off as highly unappealing in my eyes. The Auto Rifles, Pulse Rifles, Hand Cannons, Shotguns and Sidearms are nice looking but the all just feel paper thin like there is nothing really to them. I really cant complain about the sound of Hakke Weapons though they sound like they are legitimate golden age technology not the most desirable sound though. Suros Weapons are the set of weapons that i feel most relate to what was out at Year One cosmetics wise. All Suros Weapons have that sleek feel to them which is highly appealing to the eye but at the same time doesnt really stand out much when compared to Year One Weapons. The sound of a suros weapon firing is exquisite when firing a Rocket Launcher or Scout Rifle but when firing a Pulse Rifle or Auto Rifle it just feels less than to be desired. All in all i feel Bungie did a good job when designing a lot of the Hakke Suros and Omolon weapons for Destiny but i feel like they could go back to the drawing board for the Omolon and Hakke Sniper Rifles and Hand Cannons Cosmetics wise.

Hakke for Pulse rifles and Hand Cannons and Shotguns and Sidearms Omolon for Fusion Rifles and Sniper Rifles Suros for Scout Rifles and Auto Rifles and Rocket Launchers Machine guns and Swords get no love from Hakke Omolon or suros which sucks.

Hakke for sidearms/shotguns/auto rifles. Suros for scout rifles/pulse rifles. Omolon for fusion rifles/ sniper rifles.

I love the Suros Weapons but I really like the new Omolon Sniper with Luck in the Chamber.

Hakke has the coolest looking autos and snipers cause they look like real guns. The autos resemble scar-h's and the sidearms are also really cool lookin

6 RepliesI am VERY conflicted. Omolon works and feels GREAT on scout rifles and snipers. However I cannot stand the way Omolon hand cannons fire, sound, or feel. And it may be just me, but target acquisition with Omolon hand cannons seems HORRIBLE. And I love hand cannons, so... Suros feels very good, especially on autos. I haven´t really been able to use any other SUROS weapon yet. However, and I may be alone here, but I don´t like the aesthetics very much. The cleaer loser for me is Häkke. I haven´t found a single gun that made me think "neither Omolon or Suros has a better counterpart". I also really don´t like the lego-ish design.

I like Omolon weapons but there is an exception, my Suros scout. It has the same impact, RoF and stability of the Hung Jury but it has Outlaw and 23 shots in the mag. It's my go to gun when I'm using an exotic special or heavy.

If se consider pulse and sidearm: hakke for lire. (4 shit burst... :Q___) Se consider sniper and scout rifle: omolon is the way. I suppose for AR and other, suros should fit.

Edited by VyersReaver: 10/8/2015 9:15:22 AMHakke is a basic 2 perks 1 tree (well didn't that sound weird) but with some base gun changes (PRs shoot bursts of 4 ammo, Sidearms have hitscan rather than travel time). Suros is a 2 trees 1 perk with fantastic base stats, that can go even higher with those trees. Omolon is a 1 perk, 1 tree and one other perk to choose from 2, with decent stats. Also, am I the only one that thinks that Bungie messed up their models? Aren't we supposed to test unfinished guns and get complete guns from packages? Right now we test complete guns and get guns without their barrel plates. Just compare the model from Gunsmith test sniper and Eirene we got this week. I am not a fan.

Edited by Zow: 10/8/2015 9:07:11 AMHakke tends to have sacrifice stats for overall power. They also have crappy perks. Suros is all-around reliable with great stats and decent enough perks. Omolon on the other hand tends to have awesome stats in SPECIFIC AREAS. Omolon fusion rifles for examples tend to have excellent handling with great combinations of perks. Omolon Snipers can be incredibly fast and reliably stable, or powerful with fantastic range and perks. Like I said, Omolon excels in specific areas, while Suros is well balanced in all areas, and Hakke goes for raw power with usually bad stability/range. In terms of perks, Omolon gives you the most options, with Suros being a close second. Hakke is just...wtf were they thinking? Also, Omolon weapons are just sexy.

1 ReplyIn my personal opinion I believe the Hakke weaponry is more visceral and a nice change from the typical space age weaponry. A little nostalgia harkening back to those cod or battlefield days. Suros is like the corvette of the weaponry. In your face sexy. Which is good and all but a little subtelty goes a long way. My first week and leading up to the 15 I was digging the suros rocket launcher just because how different it was and the sexiess of that holo sight was just Mmm. So as nice as Suros is with its in your face appeal and Hakke with its gritty power I'm going to choose Omolon as my personal favorite. The weaponry blends a high end cosmetic factor with surgical precision in design and implementation. I've yet to find an Omolon weapon (at a higher lvl quality) that disappoints in performance or aesthetic appeal. With all the aforementioned once again I'd like to reiterate this is my opinion on this slow Sunday morning and additional comments are always welcome negative or positive. Have at it.
