My dad gave me his old work laptop to play games on, and so far it's lived up to expectations. It has 14 gigs of RAM and a quad core processor, which runs on Windows 7.
I used a website to check if my computer meets the
min/max specs to run Skyrim... Everything checks out except for the video card (which I can do nothing about) it's a standard intel Family card or something... I'll have to confirm it later today.
Thing is though, it said the same for other games like Just Cause 2, Doom 3 BFG, and other massive games, and they run just fine. I usually get around 50-60 fps on Just Cause 2 after tweaking with the settings a bit, and all my other games get a little over 70-100 fps most of the time.
The reason I'm asking before buying is because I plan on purchasing the legendary edition, so I wanna know how well it would run before I go and spend 40$ on it.
If I can't run it as well as some others, will fiddling with the settings bring it up to a reasonable framerate? Please let me know!
I am not a computer wiz, so don't get upset if I got something wrong lol
It all depends on what quality you play on. As long as you don't go over your limit and install a bunch of heavy mods you should be fine.
