Void walker quest (Finished)
I was so excited for the 2.0 update and the new quest system. I love that you added quests into the game until I saw the 8th part of the void walker quest. "You have to get 7 orbs of light to generate from one Nova bomb three times" I said to myself "easy enough" until I saw that you had to do it in a strike. So then I was like "ok" I tried and tried but I always would get 2/3 Nova bombs and then my fireteam would nuke the boss and I would not of had time to get my third Nova bomb in. This got really frustrating because honestly their were never enough enemies so I could get 3 times the 7 orb Nova bomb. ( one attempt took over an hour still no luck, now you see how frustrating this is). I'm not saying change the entire quest but tweak this or consider changing it. Like have it so it is 6 orbs of light 3 times inside a strike, something like that. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you consider what I have to say and see you star side. :P

4 RepliesDo devils lair strike on earth. Upon spawning in take a hard left and go to the patrol spawn in zone. Then go to where the 3 hive majors spawn underground. Super them then finish the strike. voila quest completed

It's next to impossible to do with randoms on the strike playlist. And not everyone has a Light Beyond Nemesis helmet. It really should be 6 orbs. I haven't made more than 6 without that helmet since the patch. I just went into the nightfall solo, equipped LBN, went to Archers Line, bombed the shit out of the two knights guarding the hive entrance a few times, then finished the nightfall (again). Or if soloing the nightfall isn't your thing, hit up the Recruitment section, make a post looking for people with the same issue. Get in a fireteam and load up a strike. Since you can go anywhere on the planet during a strike, go find an area with a lot of respawning majors, and take turns bombing the hell out of them, then finish the strike. You feed off each others orbs so you'll be done before you know it. Good luck to you.

4 RepliesTo anyone suggesting "Undying Mind", that is a great strike but locked to PS4 till Tuesday. If your on Xbox, just do what everyone else is suggesting or wait till tuesday.

OMigual(however you spell it) first room when all those thralls come out............ yeah...... get about 20 thralls with one nova bomb that should generate enough orbs for ya. run it with a few friends who wont jump in retreat wait for super to build up again rinse and repeat 2 more times

Run omnigul strike and do it with an actual team (not matchmaking) surely you have two friend you could ask?

It's insanely easy. Do undying mind, bomb the yellow bar adds that teleport in in big groups at the boss. Finished every subclass quest with undying mind lol

It is stupid. But if you do it with some friends, you don't have to speed through a strike. We all did sepiks prime and didn't go beyond the first area before completing the enemy kills part.

So it should be a challenge to do. I think that if you wait until after the 15th you should have a better chance of pulling it off in Vanguard Heroic strikes. Besides, you do NOT want to turn in the quest before the Taken King drops is what I'm reading on the internet. Edit: Do not turn in Faction Quest, Class Quests are ok.

Did mine wearing the ram and using bad juju to help fill the super meter faster. Undying Mind is running on Xbox now but just in the rotation so you can't pick it manually. Omnigul is your best bet if you can't wait for the rotation to smile on you.

Step one, make friends. Step two, run Devils lair, step three, profit.

Do omnigul. Go to patrol spawn and kill hive majors then finish the strike. If the others finish it without you you still get credit even if you don't shoot the boss.

Its very easy if you do it while soloing the nightfall,, no one to steal your kills,, you can control every encounter..

I did it in one try soloing the nightfall this week. Wore light beyond nemesis and used shatter nova with bigger booms. Whittle down the yellow bars with a Vision and you can hang out behind the entrance to the first arena where ghost unlocks a door and let your super charge. Won't have any teammates killing stuff that way.
